For those new mibox user here some advise on Astro Go:
1. Download Astro Go APK then move the APK file to thumbdrive
2. Install ES File Explorer and Set Orientation (set the orientation to automiatic)
3. Plug in thumbdrive to mibox and use ES File Explorer to open and install the Astro Go
4. Change ur keyboard setting to other keyboard type (Do not use the default Leanback keyboard)
5. Open the Astro Go and u are good to go log in and watch.
6. If u are having problem at the logging page (i.e. run very slow), try change ur wifi in mibox
(for my case, my house is Unifi and it seem to stuck in logging page for the initial log in. So use my phone hotspot, Maxis to connect the Mibox and log in is very fast)
7. After log in then change back to my house wifi. DONE

To add: please get a Wireless Keyboard + Mouse for easy navigation. If you prefer to use your computer wireless it is also possible. I have test logic tech mouse. It works.

It's my TV's CEC. So the Harmony turns off my TV first, which turns off the Mi Box, and a split second later Harmony sends a power toggle to the Mi Box which turns it back on, hence the blinking white light.

Set the Harmony to never turn off the Mi Box and all OK now.

Oh, so basically double power toggle command
Would be great if Logitech introduce another remote with mike to use with google assistance or alexa

Hi I tried my usb-lan internet with static ip as below.
ip address: 192.168.1.108
gateway: 255.255.255.0
network prefix: 24
dns1: 8.8.8.8
dns2: 8.8.4.4

after that i restart my unit again. however the internet connection seem does not work.

if i switch back to dhcp it work.

any idea why?

the wireless router have also the same dns setup.

appreciate any help.

Gateway is most likely 192.168.1.1

finally!! i bought mi box from lazada official.. want to ask how to install the free movie thingy ah...

gateway follow your router ip.
subnet mask is 255.255.255.0

Mi Box doesn't ask for subnet mask but network prefix. In this case 24 is correct. CIDR notation equivalent of 255.255.255.0

Thanks to all. Able to set the gaateway correctlly now. There is no difference with dhcp.

Some of the live tv will run few minutes then stop and then continue.

before this i add the google dns ips into the wireless router. it was even worst. after running 3-4 mintues, it freeze or hang here.

i added other dns ips and it get better.

it is due google dns?

hi, I installed the Set Orientation on the MiBox. But when open the app, it does nothing. When launch the Astro Go, it still in vertical mode. does the Set Orientation app got some sort of menu to set to automatic?

anyone got solution for this?

hi guys.. im.planning to drop my astro service and get the mibox for iptv.. myconcern is that mibox have laggy or force close when watching movies/tv service.. may i know if u guys experience any force close issues with ur mibox.. thnx 4 sharing 😊

hi guys. i'm planning to buy mi box and i'm just wondering can we play movie via usb/ external hardisk? i want to connect with my old plasma tv which is do not have features to play movie. i google for answer but seems getting more confuse lol. anyone care to clarify? thanks in advanced
