Help needed. I am new to mi box and have a global version of the box. I want to install astro go apk in it as I have the account but everytime I install it says the service has stopped. Anyone knows how to deal with it?

Besides, I want to install shafa as well, anyone knows how to do it?

U can't use Shafa as default launcher, unless u root or change to international firmware

Download Shafa app from PC / phone, move the downloaded apk to USB [either thumb drive; memory card; external hard disk], install the apk into Mi Box.

Can change Shafa as default launcher, u need to do it in PC with Minimal ADB. Make sure ur Mi Box is connected by HDMI to a TV screen that is near your Windows PC. IMHO is it quite lot of hassle.

I'm using mi box china rom with shafa apk watch for free channel around 2 years. But Starting last week my mi box cannot watch again any free channel, wifi connection just normal and it just like been block cannot watch anything. any one facing this prob too?

Seems like blocked on unifi, I am using Shafa Market as well. Those China TV live streaming not working dy.

that's terrible.. my unifi contract wanna finished on September, if confirm block by unifi then just terminate the unifi service after that, no point to pay each month cannot watch iptv..

What do you mean, difficult to set up?

Turn on, Login to Google account, go to Android TV play store and install apps u want.

Netflix, iflix, kodi, YouTube, vimeo plus more apps are available.

Use the Bluetooth remote to navigate.

Use Google cast feature to cast from YouTube etc.

This is the easiest TV box to setup! I use the "setup my device" feature via my phone. I don't even have to type in my Google account and password on the TV box.

Lack of app? You do know Android TV and normal android box differences right? Apps in android TV playstore are optimized for usage on TV. If u still need those app that can't be found in playstore, just side load it la.. simple only

how is the experience of installing/running Astro Go and Hypptv Everywhere on Mibox?

or is it China started to restrict live streaming from being accessed oversea?

I still can't get Astro Go to work, it will force close by itself. Hppytv Everywhere is working but navigation is abit tough with the normal remote control, I guess using an air mouse / wireless mouse will be better.

Hmmm...could be...since all those live streaming app don't work. I tried again last weekend, they only show those shopping channels.
Luckily these day, those China Satellite TV Station (I mostly watch Hunan and Zhejiang) shared their full programs via Youtube, so just watch via youtube lor.

I had same problem after the new major update in February. Discovered by chance that it kept not working for me because of my Getflix smart dns settings on the router. Removed all of it and works again.
