As a secondary internet account the speed is fine. Fast enuff for FB whatsapp IG etc. It's even faster than my streamyx at home lol. If it's your sole internet access then I guess you're entitled to rage. I just want Celcom to be honest with it and tell us
*
Exactly. Even with the complains and whatnot they still flat out deny it when asked about it.
I got the news from Lowyat.net site — it would be nice if one of the authors references this thread and call Celcom out on this issue.

Their Technical Team even told me that my area no 4G available but 4G LTE signal was shown on my Note 4. What a funny excuse wink.gif

Last time at Maxis, I was told that as well. Area no LTE but then detected LTE. No carrier in Malaysia is honest. Semua tipu with hidden T&C

can see under your online customer service. another way is to check your data balance 'vol status to 22188'. if it's 3gb then u're in.
apparently download spec called at 7mbps although celcom denied. but I guess it won't be much difference for most of us unless those hard core downlaoader

Thanks. I check mine seems already activated but my wife at same time still not received tm wifi password

Strange, may I know wherw did you guys get to know the speed for this First Basic 38 is capped at 7mb?

I happen to perform a speedtest @ Midvalley/The Gardens, it can reach up to 16mb++.

Using Ip6, but the phone and line belongs to others...

I even went to ask at Bluecube @ Gardens, they say this package is using LTE without speed capping.

Those who are on this plan have done lots of speedtest, most of them capped or never exceed 7mbps. Is the ip6 u used to test is currently on this plan? AFAIK, all other celcom plans including prepaid are having uncapped speed except this plan.

But then again maybe it's what Celcom used to do back then for their broadband plan. There was a broadband plan where it was blazing fast speed for the first 7 trial days, and then it goes back to it's normal speed after the trial days are over and people are stuck with the broadband contract. Let's just hope it's not what they are doing this time/

The card has 064 written, from what i have read on earlier page that's 64bit sim card which support LTE. Isn't 64bit sim card 4G enabled? Correct me if i'm wrong

I was on celcom prepaid, and changed to this postpaid plan. They gave me new card for the plan but then again both my new and old cards is the "064".

According to the owner, yes it is on First Basic 38 plan...

I'm now in dilemma whether to choose between my Maxis One Plan 128(muti-sim) to share data within my principle, Hotlink Tablet Rm30 for 1GB valid for 365 days or this First Basic 38...

Mainly use for my tablet data usage, seldom or almost not making any calls or sms(unless I opt for the 38 plan)

Hows the 3G/LTE coverage between Maxis and Celcom?
