No luck triggering the chip into the download mode. Prior to this, I tried on the 1st chip, which was off-board, then the 2nd chip was on-board, and then the same 2nd chip was off-board. 

BTW, the "SerialException: Cannot configure port, something went wrong. Original message: OSError(22, 'The parameter is incorrect.', None, 87)" was resolved after installing the driver for USB-TTL driver

i'm on a full tuya system, fully stock no mods eg: HA etc. so I wanted something that just works out of the box

does the broadlink IR blaster replicate the aircond stock remote fully and able to control the aircond temp as well instead of just on / off?

Anyone using any DIN power meter? If its Tuya ones have you flashed it with something else? Wanna monitor all the ACs in the house.

Is there entry guide for first timer in Smart Home setup?

Require simple smart solution
1) Master off all unuse switches(lights, fans, tv) when checked out
2) Smart door realtime footage from Xiaomi
3) Curtain
4) Specific LED light color

Yup i havent seen any power monitoring inside home app before. Only in tuya, aqara apps.

Yup cannot see anything , u need the manufacturer’s app. Homekit is simple haha.

Need HA to do all these advance stuff larh. Through HA, your could put the power stats as a sensor that can appear on the apple Home app tho

Last night all of sudden, one of my Tapo P100 v1.2 (forgot bought 2020 or 2021) suddenly has this symptom of "on and off" click sounds non-stop.
It is also appears to be offline under Tapo App and Router's client list.

The power current still can go tru though when i test plug something in and unable to press the button to turn it off (the clicking sounds continue)
Unable to factory reset (press and hold 10 seconds above) - meaning the clicking sounds won't stop.

Guess it's .. "dead" or rosak?
Wanna know anyone has this symptom here?

It just happens instantly.

at first i heard something click click click for 10 seconds then gone, thought is outside
then after 10 minutes later, Click x 10000

Hmm .. i tried to factory reset (press and hold power button more than 10 seconds) but it doesn't work
Also it doesnt connect to Wi-Fi anymore

So i need to pry open it ?

Idk if there are any new updates to it, but the last i checked people were creating fake sensors like luminance but feeding it whatever values you want, so in this case the power usage

Sure, there are unused or old laptops around you. Set up a home assistant for the job. The good thing about using a laptop is that the built-in battery can act as a UPS in case lightning trips your whole house's power.  After restored the power trip from the DB box, your Home Assistant is ready to act instead of waiting to boot up, etc.
Most likely, this is due to one of the Capacitor bloated.  If you know how to handle soldering iron and electronic stuff, the capacitor costs less than a ringgit; otherwise, better buy a new replacement.

for ZigBee wall switches with neutral, not all support as repeater.. even with Neutral.

i bought 1 from MOES (should be from Tuya), with Neutral, it doesn't act as repeater... only end device.
so be sure with certain products before getting it..

luckily i can return back the switch.

Already KIV the flashing as I am currently happy with my Tuya Smart Plug in the local Tuya integration. However, I am sure I will be able to resolve the flashing issues once the urge comes. 

Nope.. i have an Tuya IR remote. Cos it connects via wifi. But i doubt there is a zigbee version of an IR remote. Then again, even some of my zigbee devices connected to my Tuya Homekit hub dont show up in homekit, like the zigbee siren, which is not supported by homekit i suppose

Currently planning to buy all the require item for my project within this month, is lazada/shopee will have better deal during sales?

I'm still figuring out the things that are lacking. Mobile devices are iOS, so will go for homekit.

1. How many hub I need and the placement. Looking at the floor plan, do I need to place 1 at the TV console area, 1 at kitchen and 1 at 1st floor?
2. The relay module for autogate, anyone knows what pre-requisite I need to install it, in terms of electrical or other.
3. Should I plan the place to put FP2 sensor, I feel is something nice to have but not necessary.
4. Same goes to smart door bell, nice to have but not necessary?
5. All the curtain supplier I approach use either somfy or dooya. How's the intergration with homekit?

Things I planned to purchase for now are
1. Aqara switches, probably H1 mix with Z1
2. Aqara hub
3. Relay for autogate

have fan in living and kitchen =D

So I would need both aqara hub + appletv/homepod

Dooya is wifi right? Have to find curtain supplier that use zemismart hardware, not easy to find esepcially one that can do one piece corner rail.
