meaning 1 dimmable downlight will cause all led dimmable?
*
No lah ... I did not want whole duration but I think he out one normal incandescent light that is parallel to other non-dimmable LED light.

It would probably not dimmed all the way since LED might be blinking at the end. Don't know ... never try smile.gif

What is the max number of smart switch that u can loop for neutral line?
*
If wiring follow the rule i.e. using 1.5sqmm wire, then the MCB in DB is 6A. Normally wiring will loop 6 lighting points if not mistaken. However, it does not really matter how many.

The reason is if the total current goes to limit, the MCB will trip. Most important thing is that no one should change the MCB to higher rating than the 6A. Otherwise, the wire in wall or anywhere along the path will carry more load than it is designed for, causing fire.

Two way means both switches is wired! So far didn't see any link online selling.
*
Means you need to have the wiring already. I've never seen any smart 2 way switch except for normal 2 way touch switch.

Rare but got smart 2 way switch (Yanks called it 3 way)

Long time not Googled for these switches. Looks like there are several shops selling this on AliExpress, wired 2 way.

One of my normal touch 2 way gone crazy and now back to traditional one laugh.gif

Yup, instead of hacking the wall, not sure why @hendry91 wants it wired
This is all wired right?

I think this is something similar to my video I posted before (Post #8172), using Internet, which is not something you have in mind.

I think you can use 1 sonoff that connect to a light. Since sonoff have one that can receive RF signal to turn on and off, you need to buy an RF switch (433 MHz) to control this sonoff. So, this is another method for 2 way switch

cause originally it was 2 ways switch, so wire is already ready inside.
just wanted to use the fire to power the switch and act as wireless.
*
Even if you have no wire at all you can put smart module at the light point and use 2 wireless switch to control that module. So, still2 way switch laugh.gif

There are multiple ways to do this nowadays. smile.gif

ooo even now you can get wireless switch that require no battery at all. One of them is in this video

What is RF ?

Sorry still learning things here
*
This I can answer. RF is Radio Frequency. laugh.gif

WiFi is also using RF but specific to its protocol. Smart switch use 2.4GHz RF mostly. When talk about RF in smart switch, it refers to 433MHz frequency. It is more like remote control but the function is to on and off only. Can be programmed to control specific switch one or several at once. Simple control like your TV remote to on off but TV use IR (Infra Red light)

Depends, even though autogate may use RF 433mhz it might be transmitted using a rolling code instead of a fixed code.
No RF blaster like Broadlink RM Pro or Sonoff RF bridge supports rolling code.
*
Have you seen one? I think most just simple fixed code. No need high security since people can still jump over laugh.gif

Anyone know can I use the Sonoff T1 switch to control(On/Off) the Fan or Wall Mount Ventilation Fan? Or it's only working for light?
*
Sonoff T1 requires N wire, right? No problem to use with fan.

This is the switch info.

You have 2 switches there and total current it can carry is 4A. Fan power is not high. Probably just around 100W or less, which is less than 1A

The A referring to amps?
150 watts = 1.25 amps?
So when I buy the fan, I just need to make sure it is below 2A, then it can be use?
*
Like Fubar20 said, A is Ampere

Power (Watts) = Voltage (V) x Current (A).

So for 150W load A = 150W/240V = 0.625A

However for inductive load (anything with motor winding) such as ceiling fan:

Power (W) = PF (Power Factor) x Voltage (V) x Current (A). Typical power factor for ceiling fan is between 0.5 to 0.7 (lower PF means less efficient).

For PF= 0.7
A = 150/(0.7 x 240) = 0.893A

For PF= 0.5
A = 150/(0.5 x 240) = 1.25A

Usually you can see power rating and PF on the ceiling fan sticker. Ceiling fan is usually around 75W only, way less than 2A smile.gif

Anyone experienced aqara wall switch burnt after 1-2 years usage? The no neutral type. My third one just spoilt after around 2 years time. All 2 gang. Not sure if it's because of no neutral wire or product quality issue.. I thought there is overheat protection feature hmm..
*
You should state what is your total load on both switches.

Hmm ... now holding back again back to Tuya Universe remote or Broadlink , haha..

For normal usage like IR those, i think Tuya (UFO) can do better right with tat pricing?

Anyone concern about the security of the app actually ?
*
What security? If you worry about security, do not put anything on Internet. Do not use online banking. Even security company also get hacked laugh.gif

Yea, app-less feature is what i wanna try check now.
*
Constant upload data I believe is data polling. It is useless to spy if your toilet lamp is on or off.

Else pervert in China is interested to see what is in front of your house through CCTV laugh.gif

Just wondering is there any smart home solution for outdoor side gate?
*
I came across many outdoor gate lock. The main challenge is to bring the power to the unit. biggrin.gif

Not sure to what extend you need the lock to be smart. One example:

Smart lock is mostly battery operated you know brows.gif

Got both battery or power but battery for big lock cannot last that long but if no battery sad.gif

I think padlock type like use finger print is more viable. This can last very long

was thinking maybe have homekit/google integration with typical smart features. I am not sure as not much products for outdoor side gate
*
I've been looking too but I have yet to find anything suitable.

The link shown gave temporary access too. Not bad but if you want to gave temporary access to friends or relative when you are away, I think many probably integrate with main gate, not the side door gate smile.gif

For me, if I just want to go out to the field in front of my house using side door, I do not want to carry phone whatever. So, maybe just fingerprint will work for me. I'm not like those younger generation nowadays that have phone stick around 24 hours a day laugh.gif

However, I also want some of combinations not just thumb print. I think I can still salvage power from doorbell if it become necessary.

Not sure if its what you're asking but I think Level Lock can do that? Or August lock. I am considering these two.

Level Lock is expensive but cannot use 3rd party apss nor can use WiFi. If you are looking for deadbolt, this one is better choice
