There are 3 ways to link it to a phone. 1st is via rf module like a Sonoff RF bridge but it will not work with rolling code type of autogate. 2nd way is to install an inching wifi module into the autogate control box. Your wifi signal must be good at the autogate control box. 3rd is to integrate your autogate remote with the inching wifi module. PM me if u interested.

do take note. for 2nd method, even as wifi is strong, sometimes it will still fail to / lag when communicating with Google Assistance.

guys, wanna ask abt those smart switch (1 to 3 gang), it come with capacitor. so if we didn't fix capacitor, what will happen? normally go click on/off still work? only cannot use wifi control only?

Only need to reconfigure if you are changing the router.
Or any hardware.

Anyway, all is working fine so far. I got my autogate to respond to GA and that has got me thinking. Maybe I can get some app is compatible with IFTTT to sense my car location from GPS and get GA to open the gate. . Also that has also got me digging around on how to load GA on my non-Android auto compatible car. I learnt Amazon has a cool auto gadget called Amazon Echo Auto(like rm250) and GA has a 3rd party from Anker called Bolt. But not worth to pay so much just to open gates. Anyway to sense my GPS location and open gates is cool but sounds silly to me. It's a WIP.

As of now, I am toying with my CCTV. Initially I was like just get those HIKvision WiFi cameras but I got itchy. I want to just be lazy and say "hey Google show me side camera". It should cast it to my TV.

This is my current project. I just set up a cheap NAS storage going. Dlink router with usb3 connected to a HDD dock(1TB). I know GA works with Xiaomi CCTV and I can cast it to Chromecast. There is a couple of Xiaomi CCTV models that support NAS storage. I am testing with another Xiaomi CCTV(the magnetic ip67) version and I am not happy with the load time with Xiaomi home app. Might end up scrapping Xiaomi cams and explore other NAS supported smart CCTV.

I also do not want to buy a Chromecast first and testing with Miracast(which I have) but my GA can't cast to Miracast. Just fiddling with this for now.

Anyway I am rambling as these are just testing. Will post if I get a decent system going. Good community/experts u have here. Keep it up .

My autogate is those fixed RF on 433.xxMhz. So I just got the Broadlink RM4 to learn it.

U can get those 433RF receiver and fix the frequency. Personally those newer gates with complicated signalling methods is just up selling. Rolling codes, encryptions etc makes sense if used for automotive.

I read here someone will mess with their neighbors gates if they know the codes. If my gates started to behave strangely.. I will reset the dipswitch.

With AC swing would be a bonus, for those interested, I managed to control on/off, and speed for my ceiling fans and even swing for my stand fan via GA, not Broadlink but the cheaper Tuya IR blaster.

Any recommended system to use if I want to explore changing my wall switch for the fan (old fan) and light (fluorescent) in the room. Quite like the Xiaomi Aqara but the plug point seems to be an issue for certain items like the gateway hub/smart plug/ etc as I'll need to get a converter.

Yes, this is what I meant. How to handle 20A or even 2A with no power component or heatsink. The 20A current is handled by that relay. On the other side the lead that carry the high current is made thick by adding more solder. That is why you hear ticking sound when switching switch 

The 16A power strip is there because many European country has 16A socket. The pin is round one, but if you change to 13A British standard 3-pin, then it become 13A power strip 

If you run load at 13A, probably wire runs a bit cooler
