Whatever they called it, the anti-flash module shown is actually a capacitor. The name sound more technical and the device must be expensive than saying 60 sen capacitor perhaps 

This is true. That's why if want to use battery powered sensors, there is no better chip than Zigbee. Probably only Zwave is comparable.

As Fubar20 said, the WiFi module need more power, thus as far as he knew the single wire (no N) WiFi switch has capacitor. I believe the capacitor supplied with the switch is calculated to operate with that switch. So, I wonder why Jeff come with statement In order to save costs, many people use large capacitors to solve the problem of single-fire power supply. The switch should come with capacitor already. I misunderstood something?

Usually lamp especially LED would not have this reverse current. I think he was referring to kick back voltage when switching of inductive load like fan or something with motor. Normally capacitor used has voltage rating of 600V or at least twice the supply voltage.

i saw this video. seems like no capacitor require. just replace the switch. zigbee require. so in this case, this still allow small current even the light is off??

let's say in total u got 20 on/off (6 3gang and 1 2gang) wifi switch vs zigbee switch, will the electric bill have more than RM5 saving monthly if use zigbee?

I asked the supplier if can install the capacitor on any gang on the no neutral switch, normally replies quite fast but till now no reply, myb he is not sure himself, Ill update if he replies

So was trying to install my aqara switch today. Didnt work.

Understand that the yellow wire is the live wire while the red goes to the switches (L1 and L2) accordingly. Howver they seems to be an extra red wire to the comms of the okd switch which im unsure what it is.

On one of the switches it did blink red for awhile but nothing after that.

Anyone experience with Maxis Fibre? Even with the public ip, still cannot add the smart device ( Tuya & sonoff)

I bought a Xiaomi air filter, the one with the round black indicator, had so much problems connecting to the app, connected once, then stopped connecting. Tried numerous times finally gave up. So abit wary abt Xiaomi products.

But why so many users still go and buy Xiaomi smart home devices since it's so unstable?  Every now and then can see people saying this device or that device is down or not compatilble due to global & china region.

Theoretically, zigbee is much better architecture compare to z-wave. Although both z-wave and zigbee use mesh networking, the z-wave can go up to 4 hops and limited to 232 total devices compares to no hop limit and 65k devices for zigbee. I guess the z-wave is more expensive due to less popular?

wanna ask let's say if i install the smart switch without plug in the "capacitor", how it will function? normal on/off still function except no wifi control is it?
