From customer feedback seems to be mostly on the homekit side, anyone tried on other platform if relay detach/multi press option is available?

Just had a look at some matter thread relays/switch and apparently now support matter binding, relay decoupling and switch multi press.

QUOTE(dest9116 @ Nov 22 2024, 12:07 PM) Neutral wires for smart switches, points for cctv, auto gate wires for infra red sensors, extra wires for doorbell camera, cctv points at the pillar gate too, floor sockets too if you want to light up your sofa or have a smart display at your sofa/corner table, nowadays some sofa even have a motor for recliner and to charge your phone. Also if have windows and blinds or curtains, maybe just lay some extra wiring just in case in the future you want to make those smart.Points beside windows for smart curtains, unless you want to use the battery ones and charge every 1-2 months. Points for robot vacuum, with also a water tap point away and below from the socket, nowadays robot vaccum have auto refill and drain water like washing machine, need have the water drain hole nearby too. Remember to have this for your washing machine too. A ceiling outlet at balcony or where you want to hang clothes, now they have the motorized hanger will go up after u remove your clothes so it looks neat. If you doing awning remmeber to add points for that too. No harm to have enough points, it will be very messy when you don't have enough points, wires flying here and there. You later buy an extension cable also another cost, or do casing also cost, ugly too, might as well do sufficient socket points, same price in the end. Points at toilet for smart mirror or with led lights behind the mirror if u fancy such thing. Remember for kitchen, do not loop the wires. Others still can as long no use above 3000W |

Got switcheshttps://my.world.taobao.com/item/7637599224...FromAutoCallApp I’m more curious on the thread features like binding/relay detach/multi press option Got this feedback here on homekit side, but no mention yet with other platform ![]() Then there’s this review for the thread relay, but from the HA screenshot only can toggle it and not much other options (unless still need to use 3rd party app) https://www.pontobyte.com/rele-thread-ws01/ |

Dear all Sifus, I am currently embarking on my first smart home planning for my new house.. and needed advise..
The initial plan was to go all out with Aqara as can work with Homekit as my family is on Apple ecosystem. But as I am doing the sourcing and budgetting, I found tha the price of the switches are like 2x more expensive than Tuya switches... I am currently looking to implement: 1. Full smart switches (including aircond and heater switches) for surface light, track light and fan. 2. Smartdoor lock (I am living in a dual key condo, as such I need 2 wooden door lock + 1 Grill) 3. CCTV for the front door and also living room 4. Motion detection for midnight light 5. Humidity and temperature sensor I did a few research and ready about matter integration between Aqara , Tuya and Homekit... does it work? Say if I mix 1. Tuya switches + Aqara Switches 2. Aqara Hub 3. Aqara presense sensor 4. Tuya Smartdoor lock 5. Tuya curtain 6. Sensibo / IR hub for Aircond & Fan Thanks in advanced. |

For me sensibo is overpriced, which ac brand do you have? |

What you meant is as long as I have an Aqara Hub + Tuya Matter Hub (eg: Zenismart), then I can control all Tuya devices via Aqara App and/or HomeKit? Is there any limitation ? As in the things that I want to do (ie: open door. switch on light if its after 730pm, if toilet humidity above x% then turn on exhaust) |

Should cost you rm20 or so, just you’d still need to setup homebridge (yet another hub) from an old pc or raspberry pi. My main problem is locally there's not much curtain supplier that do custom railing for Aqara. Mostly all is Dooya.Only limitation with homekit is you don’t get power monitoring (which you’re probably already familiar with). You can still view the power usage in tuya app. Also, you can get any tuya hub which is cheaper than zemismart since they work the same As for panasonic ac, you can connect esp32 to the CN-CNT or CN-WLAN port on the pcb and control it directly without relying on IR + get actual state if someone use the physical remote. Hello,
I am planning to install Zemismart smart switches for my whole house (with neutral wire). Reason I chose Zemismart over Moes or Smatrul is because Zemismart has similar color/theme for both normal switches & 30A (for aircond & heater). Planning to get physical button switch, black color. Normal switch - https://www.zemismart.com/products/zm-pz1 30A - https://www.zemismart.com/products/zn-lrl1e-h 1. Shall I buy these from zemismart.com? or is there other cheaper alternatives? (can't read chinese so taobao is out) 2. How do I know if these switches can act as repeater/router to create mesh network between themselves? asking because I've bought one Moes switch and found out from this review it doesn't act as repeater even if neutral is connected (means I have to buy repeater/hub right) 3. for socket outlet, I do not see a lot of choices available. is it because it's not in demand and not really practical? I am looking for physical button switch & black color too. any other feedbacks are welcomed too. e.g. buy matter over wifi instead of zigbee, which hub to recommend, etc. thank you |

i started smart home devices years ago with miHome.
( I have door sensors, smoke sensor, lights, temperature sensors, switch cube etc) In those days, I had to connect to the China server, and it was fine. Lately, if I want to add new devices (I wanted to add a new gateway), it always gives errors and is slow. Not only that, I cant really see device status quickly. I am getting so annoyed. I want to build my new ecosystem. If possible, I would like to re-use my existing sensors. Can you guys recommend me which brand I should consider? I prefer cheaper one, and can also do simple scheduling. Thank you in advance |
