This goes to show we are the perennial runners up in the CL... lost 6 finals my goodness. I personally witnessed 5 defeats. 97,98,99,03,15

Even the weaker teams like Liverpool and Chelsea also managed to win with a bit of luck. We neither have the luck nor the financial power. To win CL, you need money. Heart and passion not enough... cry.gif

Hence we always can dominate Serie A with 1.2 mil , 10 mil players but to win the big one, we cant coz we didnt buy a 82 mil signing nor a 50mil signing... I dont think i wanna watch another Juve CL final again.. cry.gif

I'm speechless from the start of the match till this time(hence why u don't see me posting in this thread earlier during the match)

I guess the magnitude of having wanted to watch ur fav team lifting that trophy but at the same time feeling afraid if they failed to do so is that much

I guess i've the same feeling like Jusstatic there. I'm not disappointed with Juve(we already have a magnificrnt season to say the least) but its more of a frustration not getting to watched ur team winning the trophy

I guess we'll meet again in the pre-season. U guys are awesome as always. And last but not least..win or lose, Forza Juve!

Kinda the same feeling when I support Holland in the world cup and euro. Hehe

U guess next season we might see a begin of an overhaul in our squad, pirlo is no more, Pogba vidal tevez might leave, buffon is getting even older, even our core defenders are aging.. Need to see this coming summer transfer, wonder who will come and who will go? Can we still maintain our dominance in the local league? Both scudetto n copa

I think the whole pre-season should be spent on getting our transfers right. Right as in getting more players who can make a difference. We need to start early as be prepared money clubs like Man Utd, Man City, PSG, Barca, Real and co will start their 50 mil 80 mil buys again

I think we did very very well to get Dybala for 40 mil before the transfer even begins. Like I said, 10 mil 20 mil can win you domestic titles, but to win the big ones, we need big big signings. Even if we are not signing some superstars, we got the ability to sign big youngsters. Someone like Dybala

Next year:

GK - Buffon
LB - Evra
CB - Rugani
CB - Bonucci
RB - Damain
DM - Marchisio
CM - Vidal
CM - Pogba
AM - Berardi
FC - Dybala
FC - Morata

Once the core grp is ready... we need to spend the entire pre season working out on coming up a new tactic. How to stop Barca must also be on the agenda. Yes, they can be stopped with a brilliant idea

If we're looking at the positive side after this loss..missing on the UCL probably make the team more 'hungry' to do better next season..and with more young blood + the experience from the UCL this season..its possible. And last i check, Juve was the only team to make it to 3 consecurivs finals in a row. So. Impossible is Nothing(no pun intended bcoz we're using Adidas next season)

Barca can be stopped. But i'm glad Juve approach them without using negative tactics(like the one Vialli suggested). Its proven bcoz we're chasing the game but after going down early in 4th minute. Juve shown the ability to press Barca 10 minutes before and after Morata goal. Only a handful of team can do that like Bayern & Real Madrid.

That's why i'd said i'm not disappointed with Juve at all(unlike during last season EL semis against Benfica). But more like a self-frustration if of not getting to watched our beloved team lifting that trophy

We'll back stronger next season

tbh, I think it shud be a penalty for Juve in the build up to Barca's 2nd goal. Alves had his arm all around Pogba wrestling him. How the ref did not see that was absurb. Pogba a big lad just going to ground? This is not Suarez/Neymar we're talking bout. I dun recall Pogba having any diving incident before.

It was a hard fought defeat. But I think Juve can take pride in the defeat. If it wasn't for the early lapse of concentration that allow Rakitic to score. Damn.

well, IMO the officiating has been quite sub-par for the final

but i'm not the one to complaining seeing on any other night Juve could've been playing with 10-man..but yups..its true they say football is not for the weak-hearted.. Esp for a passionate fans like us

prior to this season Juve have been labeled a "flop" in Europe..well, since they already made a "statement" this season..by the start of UCL next season i think we'll probably in the top 5 favorites
to win the UCL after Barca,Bayern,Real & Chelsea

Still feeling sore over the ref missing the penalty. The outcome might be different if the penalty was awarded.

Anyway Juve still exposed. Putting Pirlo was bad mistake. He can't function without the ball. A defensive Vidal + Marchisio and attacking Pogba / Perayra is better. When Juve got the ball, the forwards will just close Pirlo, and Juve had to opt for long balls, which seldom works.

Finishing was bad, but still ok since we did created many chances. Morata started to become good poacher, now we really need good no 10 and Pirlo backup. Tevez might play another year or two, maybe we have good alternative in Dybala, so expectations on him is very high.

Good backup defenders and midfielders also help. In 97 or 98 if we lost defender due to injury we can still lough it off. Seems not the case this time.

Yea. Vidal could have received his second yellow too. Pogba was quite aggressive too. Feisty game I must say. Good for neutral viewers like me. laugh.gif

Same here. I thot Pirlo did not played to his strength or his best this morning. Whenever he has the ball, Busquet, Rakitic all close down on him damn quick. Pirlo has no time to look up and play a through ball. But that first time ball to Pogba was superb. One touch and he released Pogba up front.

Nvm, u guys got Dybala in the bag now. I've heard rumors bout Tevez moving to Atletico as he wants to work under Simeone. Now that Dybala is signed, Tevez might be on his way out? hmm.gif

Tevez will stay for another year or two. The only place he is going is back to his hometown Boca Juniors

the moment i realized that a turkish ref was to be officiating the match, i became skeptical. should the penalty be given, it will totally change the game. i can also sense that barca players were too easy to fall down, such a group of babies lol

but this is football is all about, juve can come back stronger next year. we can be proud to have an italian team in the final after been undermined literally by the whole world.

dont cry pirlo, u have already a winner no matter what the result is.

p/s... i really hate abbas saad

Typical la, Abbas Saad just another bootlicker like most Malaysian commentator.

Barca players also known for diving a lot since last decade where I still watch a lot of matches, and since last World Cup, I have no respect for Messi either.

Abbas Saad really..what u can say..a "modern day Zainal Abidin Raop" (if u remember watching UCL telecast back to the day while RTM channel broadcasting
them u surely know what i'm talking about). As he only favored a 'favorite' and heavyweight team..and so bias against Italian teams especially laugh.gif laugh.gif

Thank goodness we have the late-great Dato Hasbullah Awang as the co-commentator back then notworthy.gif

ok guys, since the season is finally over, while waiting for the next season and enjoying some copa america, lets us speculate who will come and go. it was confirmed that Dybala already joined us. iinm khendira also will come. i also read that pirlo isnt leaving, not at least for the next season.

honestly for me from defenders to midfielders our players already good enough. maybe a few wc strikers are what needed in our squad. i hope we can get cavani somehow.

Awesome posts guys. I am really proud of the guys despite the defeat. Our guys are old veterans, some cheaper players but my word they have a lot of heart and fight in them. Next season we should focus more on Europe...

Build a team not just with heart but with quality. One of the reasons why Barca can be so successful. They got heart and super quality. Those with quality but not much heart? Look at PSG and Man City as examples

GK - Buffon (He has heart, he has superstar quality. He is a legend. Two near impossible saves. One from Alves, and one super near post saved to den Suarez. Even Suarez was stunned at that save)

DL - Evra (He has heart. He has reputation. He did very well this season. 1 more season for Evra I say! and thats it)

DR - Lichteiner (Despite his assist for Tevez's shot, I feel forest gump is going downhill. We need a star quality RB. Leandro Darmain is a real deal. I have watched a few of his games he is a star in the making. Sold in defense, great in attack. Or.... maybe we might get Dani Alves!) (he needs to be replaced to the sub)

DC - Bonucci (Showed the world what load of rubbish, Phil Jagkiela, DAvid Luiz, Jerome Boatang are. CAn only go on to greater things. He must be considered a key player next season)

DC - Daniel Rugani (Yes he is ready. I have tracked alot of his games. He is almost as good as Chiellini and Bazag now and will eventually surpassed them even. A superstar defender in the making. He is redy to make the step in. )

MC - Vidal (He is an absolute beast. However, he attacking prowess has faded but his defensive side has grown so much. He needs to be our new Gattuso, Roy Keane. He is a superstar. Not as a box to box anymore but as defensive shield)

MC - Pogba (Problem with him is his mental. Get it right, he will be our Iniesta. Maybe not in terms of creativity but in terms of all round play. Like a Patrick Vieira. He is a superstar in the making)

DM / Playmaker - Marchisio (Should be our Sergio Busquest. Got the ability to close, anticipate and a good range of passing. Our most balanced midfielder and should now replace Pirlo full time. Pirlo to the bench and rotation)

AMC / Second Striker - Dybala (Is a superstar in the making. With super ball control and dribbling ability, he has the potential to be as good as Suarez or a Neymar. He can take the attention and load off Tevez as I feel Tevez has been too heaviliy marked in the past 1 month)

AMC / Second Striker - Tevez (With Dybala drawing attention and flak, he can do what he does best. playmak, close down and score from deep. Eventually he will leave, but is to be repalced by Domenico Berardi. Another livewire in the making)

SC - Morata (Full season for him. Got the height, the pace, the strength, the poaching ability. He must improve and take the next step to superstar dom)

New formation: 4-3-2-1 Key players (Morata, Dybala, Pogba, Vidal, Bonucci, Rugani, Buffon)

Key subs I hope to see
: Robin Van PErsie
: Sami Khedira
: Andrea Pirlo
: Bazagli
: Chiellini
