Just curious guys, is it a thing though for Serie A teams to stop scoring (when in the lead) as a sign of respect for the other team?

I actually never knew that.

But yea if it is a thing, man just forget about it. I think I'm starting to agree with many of you that we need to start beating teams by a huge score line whenever possible and seriously, don't hold back!

This new Juve looks rejuvenated (no pun intended). We need more goals and what a way to start the season by being the first team in over 60 years to score this many goals.

I hope we play more cautiously at the back this weekend but be ruthless up front. We need this!

i think its mainly Juve & Italy national team

Napoli for example, they don't give a crap. They would beat u to death, and then continuing doing so after u were dead. Hence why some of Napoli matches
against the bottom table team ended with 4-5 goals scored atleast

Roma also keeping an offensive approach esp under Rudi Garcia, but they'd rarely prolific

back then, well, this sort of "gentleman agreement' or "unwritten rule' probably applied. But right now, winning convincingly not only strike fear
to our future opponent, but its lifting up players & fans morale boost as well

OK, when you put it that way, it makes sense why Juve might have that approach to games/opponents.

Hehehe, Napoli is owned by a film producer/maker. You can sense that the team takes on the owner's persona after a while. Just look at the way he brings himself in the media.

If Bonucci were to come back, do you think it's a good idea to accept him back in the squad? Just curious; seems like we could use him back in the squad and he's not really enjoying his Milan stint.

exactly. strike fear in our future opponent is very important. win the psychological battle even before a ball is kicked is important nod.gif

yup nod.gif

as for bonucci, i dont think he will ever come back. not after the way he left. i think for this season, the pair of chiellini and rugani is strong with a healthy howedes. that guy is good i tell you. if he is fit that is. also, next season we will have have caldara. i think caldara and rugani are the way forward

Bonucci is useful when playing 3-man defence, and his exceptional passing range. However, we are no longer using 3-man defence, so it's no use getting him back. caldara+rugani is the way forward.

i don't mind him back at cheap though. will benefit Italy national team as well. But he need to understand that the club is bigger than any player. if he want to be legendary status, he need to stay on his feet and give his best whenever called and does not fight with the boss

Yea, it's true actually...the manner in which he left, kind of put me off seeing him again with us. Allegri needs to give the new guys a chance to prove themselves, like Rugani for example. I've heard good things about Howedes actually, hope to see more of him in action soon.

well, idk about u guys. But for me, i do NOT want him back in Juve shirt. Bcoz in my eyes he's the biggest culprit in the UCL final, both on & off the pitch

and not to mention the manner he left the club

guys like Morata, Zaza, Pogba...i would happy to have em back in the team (eventhough right now we didn't need any of em). Bony is another case.

i don't give crap about Alves bcoz most Brazilian ain't loyal at 1st place, and not to mention he's kinda psycho inside. But Bony, he made his name here,
he became better player with Juve. But the ending didn't go well for both side, and still isn't

hopefully those who criticize (some Juve fans, not here) Higuain for not scoring and he should be dropped (i know for the facts that they wasn't watching some of Juve match bcoz if they do, they would knew he did other jobs than scoring)

both of his goals against Milan last night was a predatory instinct & accuracy 101. Not many forwards/strikers in the world can do that

Now, another tough away day to Sporting Lisbon

What a game by the team!

We were trailing in terms of possession throughout the entire game and it felt like Milan really had us on our toes; but our Argentine connection really made every shot on goal count.

So glad to see Higuain back on the score sheet and what a way to come back - against rivals Milan!

Despite our lack of possession, I think many of the guys were really connecting today; honestly, I am well impressed with how we reacted to the Atalanta draw and loss to Lazio.

Milan can have all the ball possession in the world. While we remain sharp & effective in front of goal

since Napoli are back on top and Inter playing Verona later tonight, i think we're probably back to #3 heading to next matchday

and btw, now the mood is for the UCL. Against Sporting in Lisbon. Sporting only losses this season were against Barca (0-1) and Juve (2-1) while
they're still unbeaten in the league

if we get another 3pts against em, while Barca edging Olympiakos, the battle between the top 2 for #1 spot in the group would be
contested in Turin in a few weeks time

but as of now, talking about the numbers, i wouldn't care about the #1-2 spot of the group, but rather a 3 full pts against Sporting

*on a side note we're still yet to see our players wearing the 3rd olive green kit this season, but considering Sporting colors are green-white-blacks
i think we'll use our lucky yellow shirts tomorrow. And hopefully someone would score a hat-trick in those colors like Dybala & Khedira did rclxms.gif

Looking at the other results, it really does look like it will be a tough season.

Lazio winning by a big score line; Napoli beating Sassuolo 3-1. I have a feeling Inter will beat Verona due to their current form.

That's right, focus is back on the UCL this week against Sporting; I did not realise that they are unbeaten in their league which actually makes our win even that more meaningful. I hope we win tonight, and it just occurred to me that we have Barca at home in a few weeks. I wonder how we'll respond to them after our loss in the opening game.

Like you said though, would be nice to see someone score a hat-trick in the UCL!

Regarding our kit; have you bought this season's kit yet? I'm actually quite curious about that 120th anniversary kit...apparently they are only making 1,897 of them...same year as Juve's establishment hehe. I bet it will be sold out real quick.

not yet. Targeting the home kit for this season bcoz i'd usually bought 1 shirt per season, considering i'd bought both third(15/16) & away(16/17) previously.

the price ain't helping either. Rm269 per shirt last season, right now its rm320 something cry.gif cry.gif

and regarding the anniversary kit, we would be lucky to get our hands on em. Considering the availability & the price alone laugh.gif laugh.gif

What RM320?! This must be the exchange rate coming into play.

Yea I can imagine the anniversary kit will be sold out within seconds then probably appear for quadruple the price on ebay etc.
