Juventus
Sevilla
Lyon
Dinamo Zagreb

a repeat of last season...and a quite fair group to me

This will be quite interesting!

Hard for me to see us as favourites to be honest, in fact, I've not considered us 'favourites' in a very long time. I guess just the fact that anything could happen on match day itself.

By the way, there seem to be contradictory reports on Matuidi's situation. There was one report saying he's a Juve player, then the PSG Chairman saying that Matuidi wants to stay?

No idea about this Matuidi situation but that James rumors of buying a house confirmed by Real Estate company that helped Pjanic, Higuain find houses in Turin and Pogba and Zlatan find houses in Manchester is really starting to get me dreaming.... yes i know it could all still be a dream...but signing James will make me forget Pogba completely and makes up for the sales and marketing loss of Pogba completely for the club as well hmm.gif

James and our mercato is closed shut:

We can field 4-3-1-2:

Gk: Buffon
DL: Alex Sandro / Evra
DC: Bonucci / Bazagli / Benatia
DC: Chiellini / Rugani
DR: Dani Alves / Lict
MCL: Pjanic / Asamoah
MC: Marchisio / Lemina
MCR: Khedira / Sturaro
AMC: James / Pjaca
FC: Dybala / Pjaca
FC: Higuain / Mandzukic

Now that is a team to aim for the CL truly icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I'm a Roma fan but that defense look like Juve is preparing an attack from ISIS.

Seriously I'm not too excited with this James rumor. Doesn't see him fit in our system. I would prefer Matuidi. That man can run the whole game. He can defend and go forward at the same time. Hopefully Cuadrado can resume his service

GK: Buffon
Def: Barzagli bonucci Chiellini
RW: Alves/Cuadrado
CM: Pjanic, Khedira, Matuidi
LW: Sandro/Pjaca
FW: Dybala, Higuain/Mandzukic

3-5-2 from what I'm dying to see it comes true. Pjanic as a regista and both Khedira and Matuidi will push forward and dropping back. Dybala will drop deep as usual

This is assuming Marchisio will be out for much longer period due to ACL injury

Not going into other players for now as I see this as 1 of the best set of starting 11

I also prefer Matuidi who can push forward and defend. Tireless player with grit. Given that most probably Pjanic and Khedira will play, we need Matuidi.

3pts

clean sheet

good performance but not really on Juve true level. But a win is all that matter

That goal from Khedira sort of came out of nowhere!

But somehow, Juve didn't look the same last night as against Fiorentina; in fact Lazio were rather impressive themselves to be honest, they managed to keep us at bay while they had some good opportunities and had the lion's share of possession in the first half. Took us a while to get on level terms on possession.

I was quite impressed with the few minutes that Pjaca was on though; he really injected some life and speed into the team. I think we just need a bit more time for the new guys to gel with the rest of the team.

With Matuidi officially off the market, I'm curious who they'll add to the team because we only have what...4 days left? Also Football Italia doesn't seem to be reporting anything about James situation.

Any thoughts on Fabregas joining us?

And Steven N'Zonzi; first time I'm hearing his name linked to a move to Juve. I don't follow La Liga that much so I'm not sure about how he has performed with Sevilla.

Apparently Sevilla are also not keen to sell because we are in the same CL group.

We only have 3 days to go I think.

Fabregas..not bad..but we already have a better version of him = Pjanic

we need some muscle in the midfield to accompany Khedira,Pjanic & Asamoah. Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle would be a good option

It's all crazy now.

I'm sure we've all read that Matuidi is not happy with his lack of playing time at PSG yet they aren't letting him go; Deschamps also chipped in saying he would do well at Juve.

Juve also meeting Chelsea regarding Cuadrado - I think he would be the final piece of our midfield; Conte already said he doesn't fit in his plans (needs confirmation though). I for one, really liked him last season, I think he could really solidify his position with us.

James I don't think is happening because all the trusted sources aren't reporting it.

Now Witsel is also back in the picture? Man they really like leaving it to the last minute.

I heard Pjanic is a free kick maestro also? He learnt from Juninho Pernambucano apparently? This is kinda of giving me chills; hopefully we get to witness some free kick goals like during the days of Zidane, Pirlo and of course Del Piero.

Moussa Sissoko- I haven't watched enough Newcastle games to form an opinion about him actually but hey if you think he fits then I'm with you on this.

yeah i guess james and fabregas are both off

i rate matuidi at 30% chance of joining. High chance Witsel will be our next midfielder shakehead.gif Guess he is at least better than Asamoah

Damn our def and strike force are world class but the mid without our first choice mid of Pjanic and Marchisio is thrash

Asamoah is adequate for Serie A, but seems not adequte for Europe. He is good player though, he is no Pogba, but he gets the job done.

When dealing with Europe, perhaps Allegri Juve need to be defensive since there is no real good midfielder to start the attack. Unless Pjanic or Witsel came and excel, counter attacking may be the only game for Juve in Europe.

its confirmed then

Juve signed Axel Witsel for 18M Euros (a bargain if u ask me for the current inflated market nowadays)

and Cuadrado to return with a loan deal with an option to buy

we'll have virtually TWO TEAMS that's capable to compete in Scudetto/Coppa
