hi all,
A few questions needed your help..I've just ported to Umobile plan U28 from digi prepaid and :- 1) Is there a must for me subscribe to international roaming to receive calls and sms while in singapore working? (ps- previously my digi prepaid i have no issue of receiving calls n sms, just that i needed to connect to starhub network. 2) Based on what @huaweie5830 bro mentioned, if i change to a higher plan with more data and RM10 roaming, can i use the internet like in malaysia? how bout the call charges? any additional call n sms charges imposed other than the plan? (ps- currently i've a sg line with monthly commitment of sgd 58 and the contract is nearing end) hope all bro and sis can advise. Thanks. |

QUOTE(huaweie5830 @ May 12 2016, 01:56 PM) example , i am now using singapore M1 plan, $102 for 13gb with 24 months contract Excelent idea!compare to Umobile RM10 per day unlimited for P50 or FREE roaming for P70 , which one you choose Don't forget to write us a review here after using it ya. QUOTE(Haru2007 @ May 12 2016, 02:15 PM) hi all, 1) For postpaid, there are some TnC need to be fulfilled before international roaming service is enabled.A few questions needed your help..I've just ported to Umobile plan U28 from digi prepaid and :- 1) Is there a must for me subscribe to international roaming to receive calls and sms while in singapore working? Thanks. 2) Voice and SMS are not part of the Data Backpack deal and subject to normal roaming chargers. Incoming SMS is free though. To bypass roaming chargers for incoming voice calls to your Umobile while you are in Singapore, you can use SIPhony 015 international call forwarding service to divert all your incoming Umobile voice calls to your Singapore phone number at 4sen per 30sec. so that you wouldn't miss any call when you are in Singapore. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 12 2016, 03:41 PM) Excelent idea! Does that mean if i did not activate the international roaming services, hence i'm not able to connect to sg network to receive calls and smses like i normally did with my digi? this is because sometimes will need to do ibg transfer hence will need to receive the tac.Don't forget to write us a review here after using it ya. 1) For postpaid, there are some TnC need to be fulfilled before international roaming service is enabled. 2) Voice and SMS are not part of the Data Backpack deal and subject to normal roaming chargers. And exactly what is SIphony? Googled and seems like it's an external services to divert calls? Understood on the data backpack deal only for the internet, hence i might as well retain my sg number..or any alternative way? Thanks. |

Yes, If international roaming service is not activated, you can't connect to any network at all.And exactly what is SIphony? Googled and seems like it's an external services to divert calls? Understood on the data backpack deal only for the internet, hence i might as well retain my sg number..or any alternative way? Thanks. SIPhony 015 is a service provided by REDtone. What it does is, you divert all your incoming voice calls to SIPhony 015 then from 015 divert again to your Singapore number. ie. U mobile > SIPhony 015 > Singapore number, thus bypassing the exorbitant direct roaming incoming voice call chargers. |

I have seen people porting out of U Mobile for one reason only, which is coverage. They should make that their number one priority.
