Just wanna ask, how is the roaming on Maxis? I am tempted to port to P70 due to the free roaming but concerned about the ride on Maxis. I am in Sarawak so no UMobile line. Will totally rely on Maxis

Your account is prepaid?
Postpaid users need to pay deposit to activate IDD and roaming.
*
If you have AutoDebit to your U Mobile account, the deposit is not needed

Just bought U Mobile prepaid today to test their line. So far so good. Only 3G but strong at places that I frequently go to. Will test for a few more days before I decide to port to P70

U Mobile knows that they are behind on coverage and brand power. So they rely on pricing. Once their network is up to par with the Big 3 they will start to scale back their packages. In the meantime just enjoy

i tried stream hitzfm but the app is not that stabke...I wish they add Tune Radio as well

But I am wondering, does the free streaming still applicable if the umobile line works using mobile wifi modem and tethering for several devices
*
I use TuneIn too. To stream London's Capital FM. I can't stand Malaysian radio stations. We should push U Mobile to include TuneIn too

thinking pop existing maxis to U mobile, but worry is the network coverage is bad.
please advise your experience using U mobile plan...so far how the network performance?
*
No definite answer on this. Best way is to buy their prepaid and test at the places that you usually go to.

Hey guys, got a question here about roaming. I am currently in the UK and I'm on U28 postpaid plan, would I be charged any roaming fees when I receive SMS?
*
Receive SMS no. Receive call yes

Finally submitted my port in request to U Mobile today. After so many years on Celcom. Was already tempted with their 15GB offer and the free data roaming. And finally made the jump today after they announced free video streaming.

I think U-Mobile over stretched their line resources today (a holiday). Perhaps giving out too many promotions aka gimmicks.

Their speed really, really SUCKS today.

Was at KLCC, Mid Valley and Bangsar today. Ok for me. Speedtest at KLCC reached above 30Mbps

Interested to change... but then I look into the coverage of 4G.. part of my area was left out for some reason...

Also no 4G coverage at all if I balik kampung. RIP
*
Their 3G speed is not bad. Suggest you try their prepaid first before committing

My port to U Mobile was done in about 24 hours time. Submitted around 7pm Thursday. Immediately received sms acknowledgement from them. Next day around 5pm received sms from Celcom saying that my port out was in progress. Around 6pm U Mobile smsed me telling me Celcom accepted my port out and told to switch sim card once my Celcom was out of service. At around 7pm the line went dead and I was able to use my U Mobile line.

U Mobile is doing ok in Sarawak, but they use Maxis over here. Their agreement covers up to 3G only so even if Maxis has 4G, it is not usable. And even that, they dont have 3G everywhere. There are some places with Maxis 3G but U Mobile users can only connect to 2G which is practically unusable in terms of data except for WhatsApp. Wish they had a more extensive agreement.

I think the U Card issue through the app is rectified already. I was able to register a new virtual card just now.

I have seen people porting out of U Mobile for one reason only, which is coverage. They should make that their number one priority.

Heyyaall, just wanna ask u guys about VideoOnz by Umobile. Currently using P50.

When they said, we can stream youtube using VideoOnz feature, so i tried. However, it seems that Umobile deducted my main data instead VideoOnz allocated data. Has anyone having this issue?
*
Must use the app and set the resolution to Auto or 480p. If you use more than that it will deduct ur data allocation
