Hi

Could u guys share your real experience in terms of coverage quality, and whether line is strong enough with Umobile P70 , at areas like setapak, keramat, wangsa maju, gombak,
Especially indoor areas and areas on transport ?

Is the line strength better than maxis for above mentioned areas ?

P/s: line strength here especially including the stability of line when trying to update any apps on mobile phone, whereby line won't keep dropping data packet ...

Thx.

Hi all

i just try out umobile prepaid.

The Power prepaid as in attached pics, is of 3g or 4g ?

Because every time it shows H+ on my tablet, but the speed is a lot faster than maxis

So just wish to confirm if it's 3g or 4g sim card...

Thx

If you are in LTE coverage area + LTE device

1) You will get LTE speed - my test 15-25mbps

2) Otherwise it will be 3G only with average 6mbps
I just use it beginning 10th Apr and on 17th confirmed ported from Maxis -> Umobile.

Cannot wait to change my UMI20 to UMI30/UMI38....such freedom to switch plan as I see fit
*
Thank you for u guys valuable sharing..
My device can support LTE

Btw, besides the apps Open Signal, what other android apps are highly recommended for speed test and line strength ?

Thx.

@Life_House

You need to activate 4g by smsing

LTE ON

to

28118

note: 05 sen sms charge applies

Hi, i am still new to Umobile..
Does that mean the Power prepaid sim card is a 4g card itself, but still need manual activation as in above step ?

Thx..

Within a week after activation, it will usually automatically activate LTE for you.

Hi ,

1~ For Prepaid Plan:
UMI30, UMI 38, UMI 25, UMI50, i40, i60, i90, i130

If i just need fast internet, but call or sms not important, which of above prepaid plan is most recommended ?

2~ How is the line strength at Setapak areas for above plans ?
Anyone could share their experience ?

Are above plan as fast as Power Prepaid ?

3~ What are the correct steps if i were to port from Power prepaid to any of above prepaid plans ?

Thx..

2) setapak pv 13,15,16 condo quite okay but if u go genting klang then u will realise that there got a lot of blind spot.

1,3) i think u confuse with plan. power prepaid is a plan. UMI is like add ons u can purchase it with ur credit.
since u choosing prepaid i suggest u use power prepaid plan with umi 30. (1GB+2.5GB=3.5GB high speed internet)

Hi, thank you..

But why is it put in the form of “1Gb + 2.5Gb” high speed internet ?

That extra 1GB is not from the plan directly. It's the 1GB free high speed internet.

Ic.. Does the plan also include daily 500 Mb free YouTube streaming ?

as on their website, the free 500MB daily youtube is still available. so maybe like this

if stream 2am-10am, use free 500mb daily quota
if stream 10am-2am, use Video Onz quota

we can put a test since you can track your Video Onz usage at myumobile biggrin.gif

Vpn is virtual private network. That means your connection sent is tunneled to a virtual network, through a public network and then back to you.

You can try free vpn by Betternet to see if it fixes your issue.

speed & ping depend on your vpn server. normally free vpn will give slower speed and higher ping.

you can give a try first using any free vpn. i've tried but didnt notice any significant differences.

For UMI 30 prepaid plan, if i topped up on May 1, and on June 2, i have used up only less than 1 Gb fast internet quota and i have not done the next top up,
Will the remaining of 2gb fast internet quota be carried forward to the entire month oh June ?

Thx.
