I saw this service center recommended by many Mazda drivers. Is it really good? How is the price/service fee?

hi, would like to check with you guys.

so recently i went to this car workshop to change AFT for my mazda 2. before that i asked the shop (via FB) how much does it cost and they quoted me rm35x4 which = 140 + free inspection

then i went to the car shop, before start i double confirm with the technician there how much for it, he said rm180 (wtf). then i showed him the message said i already pm your shop before and only cost 140, then he like "o..ok..can one".

then he start his job and i clearly clearly see he only take out 3x bottle of the ATF oil which is 3L for my car.

once everything done, i proceed for payment, he took out his inspection paper/invoice and there also written "ATF x3" then he immediately strike off the '3' and change to '4' and charge me the price of x4

so did i got scammed by this car workshop?

Sounds very fishy to me, when I change my M2 ATF, I bought 4 bottles and they used up 3.75 L, left only a quarter and returned to me. Cost me RM 30 at Jalan kuching.
Better to check the ATF dipstick, to ensure enough ATF being poured in & find another workshop next time

It's from the door handle.
It should be located behind the door bar where u pull to open ur door.
I'm damn sure since I took this off in order to disassemble my door

This is the workshop I went, because it was nearby my work place.
Although I'm sure many other workshop are resonable as long you asked the price first and know basic car stuff.

Hi, I'm new to Mazda and looking into possibly getting M2 in the future. So my question is what are the most common problems that usually plague this car?
Also, how high is the maintenance of this car?

If getting new, should be less issue. People keep said maintenance high, IMO wrong perspective.
If you dont drive 'too much', the 5 years 100k mileage free maintenance already cover lots of cost. I think even Perodua, 5 years worth of maintenance may cost rm5k ? My first paid maintenance for 2015 mazda 2 cost less than thousand.
Chances you change new car after 5 years also high laugh.gif

Just drive careful because replacement part are indeed expensive, I've learned some lesson sad.gif

Might as well save the money and retrofit Android Auto/Car Play.
The navi system is just mediocore and needs to be updated regularly.

Morning guys,

My name is Elton. Some of you mightve known me for my glorious carbon cleaning days till i pulled the plug two years ago. I am very well aware of deposit build up in skyactiv engines and how your SC would offer cleaning it with Threebond for RMxxx.xx.

Jeez, the above is starting to sound like a scam email lol.

I am wondering if you guys would be interested in doing a group buy among you M2 members?

The cost of my Threebond would be RM60.00/bottle, 1 car 2 bottles, RM115.00. Three is RM170.00 but I believe two is enough, the third and fourth would have to wait till deposit hardens up again.

Is this cheaper than sc's price? Yes.
Have I done your skyactive before? Yes.
Was the owner happy? Hell yes smile.gif.

By doing this, you'll avoid unwanted problems caused by deposit build ups especially on your direct injection engines. I dont think I have to go into detail lol.

If I can get more than seven cars, my offer would be RM110.00/2bottles, an optional third bottle is available if your insist at RM165.00 in total. This includes labour and I will apply them to your cars personally. 15 minutes per car, location will be at my same old place at BHP SS14, Subang Jaya after dinner next week on a weekday.

Any takers?

If you have any questions, ask me or reply here. I will answer as long as it's within my knowledge base.

Enjoy your high comp engines!
