hmm.gif  ya, as the difference of the price not so big... but then is that big difference of performance between the i5 and this i7? thanks for your concern bro
*
Oh yea, quite a big difference. Though ultimately the price difference is up to you since you are the buyer.

I don't think you'd honestly feel the difference. Mind you, the i7 might be better for any application that takes advantage of Hyper-Threading, but I reckon the i5 4570 would still be better overall for your purposes.

Well, as games going now. The extra horse power is good IMHO if he is going to use it for a few years. I reckon getting a better CPU is somehow "future proofing" well at least for a while. Since, the price is not that far brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

sifu, 1more question... tongue.gif
is there many type of CPU.. as you stated.. MQ/HQ and also U...  the dell 7447 is i7-4710hq means that it is better?
*
Usually, the model with MQ/HQ, H, M is better in the sense that it has more raw power compared to the U, Core M, Y as this is the low power model which also means less raw power but better battery life and less heat.

but sifu, i check at dell website its cpu is i5-4210h.. so its quite worth at this price... and donknow why the dell website i7 version not available ady.. rclxub.gif
i m not sure whether i m graphic user or not...i do use auto CAD, and i have check the price for both ady.. difference rm500.. not sure whether wan to take which 1...  cry.gif

If I'm not mistaken. Only if you do 3D rendering then GPU is more important but if you are drawing and stuff it uses more CPU and RAM (Correct me if i'm wrong). Try checking the garage sale section, see whether people still carry the i7 version.

*
Yup, Envy line not good for gaming as the thermal management is bad. I'm using Envy TS 15.

Why qm better 15 inches? Even after sold it, buyer complained I sold the dusty inside notebook coz of overheat. Even i5 desktop not so fast compared with core duo.
*
More space for the heat to dissipate and also more space for the air to flow can cram better cooling system.

HP stream 11 even doesn't have a fan bro. So will it be overheat?
*
It is using the celeron type proc. Don't wory much about heat but do some maintenance from time to time like dust off the dust. If you are doing basic stuff, the proc wont heat up much.

Did you turn it on 24*7? I always turn it on 24*7 because I am lazy to wait the start up mode. Just let my laptop on sleep mode.
Amd? Amd is good and fast but don't know why my laptop with amd cannot last more than 3 years. Always have problem on keyboard. My fujitsu and acer keyboard after using amd processor not work for some keys. In the end must sell cheap.
*
I game on it 5-8 hours most of the time. tongue.gif , AMD proc compare with the same performance of its counterpart Intel will be more hotter because of the size of the transistor.

how to diy dust off the dust? I never do that because the price of dust off the dust not cheap and we need to wait hours or even days at service center.
*
Open up the laptop and use brush and compress air to dust it off.

Ok..thanks bro ..I will try to get the better if I afford to..
Sifu, the dell 7447 can add SSD?
*
Should be able to. But SSD now is quite expensive, unless you get a caddy to swap your optical hardrive for SSD (Install OS in it and some Apps for fast response.)

Already opened at the back but no dust. Somemore will tear off the warranty seal. My acer warranty 3 yrs.  I cannot open the front one very hard to open got keyboard bro. Can use vacuum cleaner?
*
Err, if new dont need to do so. Open once in a while to clean it up. As for warranty seal, you need to call the service center to ask. If you are scared then send it in for maintenance since under warranty. It will be FOC.

Ok... happy.gif

If don wan remove the odd juz add SSD also can right hmm.gif
*
Yes, you can. But you need to clone your HDD stuff to your SSD then unmount your HDD and replace it with the SSD and a rule of thumb for me SSD price is around RM 2 / 1GB so imagine 500 GB SSD. Though liteon SSD is cheaper than the rest, check it out i suppose.
