*looking at mate 10 pro*

😄😄😄✌✌✌

The only commercial device with 4k mAH battery

I see your Mate 10 Pro and raise you.... My cheapo Xiaomi Redmi 3S/3X packs a lovely 4100 mAH battery.. Easily lasts 2 days with heavy usage.. flex.gif HM using cuz destroyed her Galaxy Note's screen for the 3rd time... sweat.gif.. Instead of fixing the screen again, used the money to buy the Redmi, with a promise of an upgrade to the Note 8 when the price drops. Yeah, been waiting.. laugh.gif

Judging by my lack of jizz upon the S9's release, I doubt that the Note 9 will be satisfactory. Will it be a worthy upgrade? Certainly. But as you said, for such gorgeous screens and processing power, about time they slapped in minimum 4k mAH batteries inside them.

the price also too much dy. i've switch to the Note 8 and still paying for it but S9 S9+ price already almost same as Note 8. expecting the Note 9 to be even more. dont even wanna think about the new iphone x

Yeah, the pricing are crazy high. I remember when I use to think a RM2K phone was luxury enough. Now, not so much. I'm glad I'm not an ios fan, how to pay such for iPhone X. sweat.gif That's like walking around with a nice 55" UHD HDR TV in one's pocket.. To do what.. The exact same thing I'm able to do with my old Note 3. I pray my needs don't change soon and the Note 3 remains in solid conditions. Just swap battery, tempered SP and casing. Flash a custom ROM and good as new.. thumbup.gif

Else, no choice.. Will grab the Note 8/9. I'm hoping the Dex feature is improved. Can't wait for a time when we only need that one device for home, office and OTG..

Yahhh..Good days.. Started my Samsung journey with the Galaxy A2, then S3, then Note 3. Back in 2011, the very first Note was introduced to Malaysia with RRP of RM2299. Seemed pricey then.. What to do? We want faster, bigger, clearer, stronger,... biggrin.gif

I remember reading that Oreo for the Note 8 has been released and will spread region by region. I expect Malaysia should get it in the next few months.

The Note 3 is my daily driver. Got some cheapo Lenovo to replace my backup Xiaomi device. Got Unifi mobile sims too..tossed em in only to find out he 4G isn't supported.. So limited to 3G.. sweat.gif

I am now in the reverse pattern.
Note 3 as my second phone mainly for media and game.

While bought a cheap leagoo m9 for primary but only for phone call and social apps. Limited to 3g only also.

Just dont want to worry phone no juice after using for long time or phone keep on popping out notification when readng, gaming or videoing.

I agree.. I'll try to convince myself when the Note 8 price is a bit cheaper than current price. Sell or give away other phones and use this as backup.

Yes, I noticed improved battery life. On previous battery could only Waze for about 2 hours before the low battery notification pops up. After swapping to new ori, back to almost 5 hours SOT with brightness set at 40%.

nova 2i is with 18:9 display which will make videoing much better. but it still subject to how your mum will use that phone.

nova 2i will be better to hold with its smaller width and better camera, but note 3 win at its display and s pen.

if just for normal usage, better keep the note 3 and waiting for others. nova 2i may not be the best choice with its current price tag.

Brief review suggests its okay as long as she's not a power user. Particularly the cameras. Wouldn't buy it for myself though.. Just saying. smile.gif

You are welcome. If you want better battery life and don't mind paying.. You may consider aftermarket batteries.. Bigger capacity

laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif.. If you still want that undiluted motherly love, better don't cheapskate on camera. CPU la, GPU power, fancy S-Pen features, animoji or whatever.. They don't care.. Just camera and battery life must be good. I know the exact same feeling from my MIL.. smile.gif
