Small box,item value below RM500 might not tax but depend on luck.Don't know after GST the custom will revise their SOP.

Yup, can go up to 30%, depends on under what category the custom going to declare your items. If you just unlucky a little bit, the percentage maybe smaller.

If I'm not mistaken, there will be import tax + GST. I mean if the items need to pay tax, you also need to pay GST. If no need to pay import tax, just GST.

Boss, I don't remember saying the fittings are one month old (refer screenshot). Besides, it doesn't look damaged to me but simply normal wear and tear. What matters most in a compression is that:
1. You can screw it in successfully
2. The cap works and is able to compress the tubes to prevent leakage
3. The o-ring is not damaged and it won't cause leakage
4. To look good (cosmetics)

The above are the actual functions of a compression fitting. If a bit of thread at the bottom is not perfect then there's nothing to be alarmed with unless you are encountering point (1). Please note that these are used stuffs so a bit of cosmetic defects are common and if point (4) is a concern then maybe buying brand new can be a safer option. Every compression fitting that are used (even for a few days) could show signs of wear and it can be easily spotted if you know how.

Used stuffs can't always be perfect because if you buy a reservoir used, it can stain and if you buy a radiator used, it can also have bad dented fins sometimes. Even NEW reservoirs and radiators would also have defects sometimes (from my experience). I hope this helps and thanks pristine

Oh. Sorry then. Was under the impression that it was damaged, judging from comments and not exactly clear image.

Try fitting into your rad or block, if it fits, its okay to use.

I've encountered brand new rads with horrible, horrible dent fins. Never recommend that brand for radiators, ever after that.

OH! If anyone is looking for a excellent 360 rad, hit up clawhammer. He's selling off his Feser 360. I would grab it, but I don't have time to change my loop. Even the second D5 I bought is just sitting in a box in my room, waiting to go into my dual loop supported reservoir.

because i'm a stubborn little fuck and went with the cosmos II so i'm kinda stuck with my low profile alphacool ST30's (280 and 240 respectively, yes they arrived to my place safe and sound without tax lol!)

yes i confess i am regretting a little over it, because it's fucking heavy LOL! my inspira 17" wheels (for Sepang/racing) are like 20kg each, that damn thing (well, with packaging box lol) is 26kg+
back breaking endeavor just to stuff the damn thing into an old Proton wira sedan (long story, it was colleague's car lol) at Lowyat plaza, then carry the fucking thing from the car in to my house (even if it's like what, way less than 1 km)

the rm40 price hike because viewnet thinks USD forex is a good excuse to raise price (even when the stock is CLEARLY old stock)
yes i'm very sour about paying rm200-400 more (compared to Nov/Dec price list) at least over my new pc build from just parts purchasing at viewnet LYP lol

Well, if you've got all your parts sorted out, I say open it and get building. No better time to start. I took about 2 years to finish my rig because of funds, lots of detours and life commitments , but the end result is pretty satisfying.

as i won't have enough setup space in my room (mess, lots of junk/collection/stash etc lol), it'll be done downstairs in the living room, and the thought of moving that 20++ kg chunk of metal up second story is just...

well, my amazon stuff (primochill tubing and GTX 980 reference card) haven't clear yet, still en route to Malaysia.
considering it is already 1st April, chances are i am going to tank that 6% gst as well which would further rape into my wallet

i can somewhat understand on what you've mentioned, as i'm facing similar difficulties and i've stubbornly went with it anyways taking up huge amounts of debts (that small little plastic known as the credit card) just to get everything done before gst
on the one hand my new pc gets done much quicker (procrastinated since many years ago considering my current pc is more than 8 years old lol), on the other hand it's probably a very dumb thing to do by most standards

holy shit my GTX 980 from Amazon USA and primochill tubing arrived in Malaysia without tax XD

GPUs are computer components and are tax free. Tubing can be taxed but it depends on how big your parcel is.

That I'm not too sure. Even our beloved gov aren't even sure how they want to completely implement it.

Right now it's quite lenient. Besides, if the item doesn't get taxed, they can't GST it. And because there's no service charges, they can't GST that, either.

Looks like we'll be seeing that worklog sooner than expected.

Not sure what FCZ is. All taxed items will have an import tax depending on what the item is and another 10% sales tax on top of it. Since GST replaces that 10% sales tax, you're only paying 6% and should be included in that RM82.57.

That's categorized under import tax. Pre-GST, there was import tax which was dependent on what your items are and sales tax which was 10%.

Now there's GST so sales tax is abolished.

I was told my reservoir would run out after 6 months but after 8 months of usage my reservoir is still 3/4 full.

But that's not the issue. The main issue is my Primochill Liquid Utopia. I'm not sure when do I top it up. I poured over 1/3 the bottle into the current loop. Should I do it at the one year point or it doesn't matter and I can wait longer?

Basically when water level running low, topup. Doesn't matter when but if water level go down too fast, then you don't just topup but investigate if there's any leak.

My water level has been pretty consistent. Went down about 1-2cm after 8 months.

But like I said, my issue is the primochill. I dumped 1/3 of the bottle in. When do I refil the primochill? Not sure if there is an expiry date. I'm not that concerned since I dumped so much in but just wanted to know haha.

Oh I see. You don't top up in this case. The Primochill Liquid Utopia have shelf life of 2 Years, unopened. So, in the loop, will be less than that. It's good idea just dump & flush your loop and refill fresh distilled + Liquid Utopia after a year.

Sorry, I meant that after a year better replace than topup after a year. If less than a year, you definitely can topup to maintain water level. When you mixed it with distilled water before, you probably have some (already mixed) left in a bottle stored that you can use to topup your loop.

The Liquid Utopia bottle is still there. I've kept it mostly in a dark and room temp box. Hmmm, guess I'll do a complete loop refil and replacement around August then.

Don't need to top up much. My res is still 3/4 full.

Damn lazy to dump and flush HAHAHA. Oh well, will do so around August. Hopefully it'll last another year before I have to get another bottle of Liquid Utopia. Or sell the pc off and get an air based one.

The Primochill Liquid Utopia he is using is biocide & also corrosion inhibitor. So he don't need another biocide and silver killcoil.

Ahh i see. What if i re-use the coolant/liquid after i drain my loop? does the factory coolant has any of that addictive? i use h240x

Coolants have additives in them already, don't add anything to them unless you want your coolant to mutate.

What if the coolant isnt sufficient, is it ok to topup distilled water? Is battery water ok?

Try not to. Might not mix well. But if you must then yeah, distilled water is good.

i added more tubing and a gpu waterblock into loop, so needed to add up more liquid into it

so my result, quite happy with it as this is my very first time diy a custom loop.
