Guys, I'm planning to watercool my rig (CPU + GPU loop), my specs are of below:
- CPU: i5 3570k
- GPU: Galax Gtx 970 EXOC BE
- Case: NZXT H440

My budget is roughly around 1.2 - 1.4k . My main issue is since my GPU has no full Waterblock available, I have to use Universal GPU block. Can anyone recommend me all the parts/brands that I should get with that budget (CPU block, GPU block, 2 radiators, tubing, fittings, cylinder res and pump)
*
Suggest u sell the Galax GTX970 & get those model which have full block instead (eg MSI Gaming/Asus Strix/Gigabyte WF), VRAM & VRM also are important components to cool.

Plenty of lowballers.  doh.gif

I saw the new X99 ITX board. Really tempted to upgrade though but the old setup is serving me just fine so I'll stick with it.

The problem with X99 is the DDR4 still at high price, i bought the 16GB Kingston HyperX Predator 3000mhz @RM1200 sweat.gif

Yup, and the price also increased (or maybe due to our RM depreciation), last time i bought GPU block with backplate & shipping roughly about RM500++, now i'm planning to get the GTX980Ti block with backplate nearly RM700 including of shipping. shakehead.gif

ya same here... although the fact that my pc boots up in 10-25 seconds compared to my sister's z97(sub 10) and my mom's laptop (sub 5) irks me to no end.

really hate gaygaybyte bios lol (the delay is on bios, windows load in like 2-3 seconds)
*
Bro i tot it is the nature of X99 board maybe? hmm.gif My previous Z87 system is booting faster than my current system sweat.gif

lol our ringgit went to hell.
however since euro went to shit too, it wasn't that bad. besides i bought my stuff before GST where everything since that time period just went on a nosedive biggrin.gif
not sure, but i'm sure it shouldn't be intended, or the bios is in need of serious optimization :/
*
Since EK updated their online store, we (Asian countries) can't used Euro currency anymore, we have forced to use USD doh.gif

*
They have closing sales on last Saturday, everything are 50-60% cheaper, tubing is RM5/ft.

Anyone use Primochill Advanced LRT tube? Especially bought this year? I just want to ask do you have any problem?
*
I'm also using Primochill tube since 2 years ago, so far do not have any problem.
But will change to PETG tube by this weekend.

Nice! Did you buy PETG tube local or online?
*

Guys, need your opinion on the incident i have facing now. I'm using Bitspower full cover block (consist of Bitspower Summit CPU block, VRM block & PCH block) for Asus X99 Deluxe motherboard for about 10mths, yesterday i try to open the blocks for maintenance i get shocked when i saw the cpu block & VRM block, the blocks were heavily eroded (pls refer to the attached pictures), the BP PCH block & EK 980Ti block were still in perfect condition.

The question i want to ask is whether it was the bad unit for the VRM & CPU block? Should i claim RMA from Bitspower (I bought directly from Bitspower Taiwan).

holysheett!!!! that look's like hell. was there any bad symptoms like unusually high temp or gunk in the water reservoir before you even decided to do the maintenance?
*
The motherboard VRM temperature increased, so decided to take a look, i myself also get shocked when saw the conditions. Today manage to speak to Bitspower customer service & they allow me to RMA the blocks but i have to send them back to Taiwan.

Cheers man. Got myself a Dremel that I mostly use for scale modelling and resin, so I'll probably be using that though I think I'll need some of those disc cutting attachements, what I have are mostly routing and sanding attachements.

Glass... I'm really unsure. Jayz2cents is using PETG as a guide for length and removing and replacing with glass tubes later which strikes me as extremely expensive. But yeaaah I'm looking to spend a fair amount on this build. I don't intend to be done for a few months. I'm not concerned about not having the skill or rushing through the build. Its more about learning and enjoying myself during the process. If this takes months to build, I'm really cool with that! If it springs a leak during testing... Even better, best way to learn is through mistakes.

In it for the long haul man. smile.gif

So I'll probably jump in to the deep end, get myself a heat gun and play with PETG smile.gif Flexible tubing I've always thought looks like a bunch of garden hose going through a CPU. No insult intended, just not to my taste.
*
PETG is more easy to work with, before i venture into hard tubing i have get lot of info between PETG and acrylic, this is my latest setup after get rid of crap bitspower waterblock
