Yeah I'll check with him, but actually these are used for MX clears, so I'm not sure what to use, many on GH used 105. (Higher number higher viscosity right?)

How about the GPL205 grease? I'll just test a couple of switches first, then only I'll decide if I want to lube them all, the set I'm buying already comes with 62g Korean springs. biggrin.gif

I'm new to all the lube stuff, definitely need more experiments.

Yes higher number higher viscosity. Grease are usually used for stabilizers though and oil for switches. In my own personal experience, grease/high viscosity oil does not work very well with plastic contacts. It makes it harder to glide and it becomes sluggish instead. And i find it extremely tedious though to get accurate consistency across the board with lubing.

But of course i'm no lube expert and above is just my personal opinion which might or might not be accurate and never done lube on cherry mx clears so maybe some other sifu here could reply you with a more accurate answer. smile.gif

No impact because PCB mounted switches just have 2 extra plastic slots at the bottom for better attachment to the PCB.

If you're following matteo's route, I suggest you settle the plate first. Find a cutter. SC Tech in Sungei Buloh can't handle all the materials (5mm acrylivc) I want, so I'm still searching.

Looking around for a cutter as well. Not easy to find. Not quite sure how its done in US though but was going through geekhack and this thread popped up http://builder.swillkb.com/ which led to this guy https://www.bigbluesaw.com/ Not sure how much the damage will be. tongue.gif

Higher number = higher viscosity in GPL

Some may mix GPL 103 + GPL 107
Some may use only single solution, 103/105 or 107.

I personally like GPL 107 for linear switch, it is the best recommendation for it.

While tactile switch, apply a thin film of 203/205 would do.

Thanks for the advice, thus I think I know why they say only apply very thin layer.

Thanks for the advice bro. Well, I'm not not using linear this time, so I think I'll just get the 205 and try. Can't really find 107/103 on eBay. Probably need to dig in GH. hmm.gif

The Rosewill model is EOL already. Waiting new model to come in.
So, you can go get another brand keyboard for now.

Yeah, I saw, but if only getting that from GON, the shipping hurt so much, if from US, can combine with my other shipment and come at once. Around 20$ for gon's shipping? doh.gif I'll go check again.

HeavyArm in SS15? They got quite a number of display models, they got something like Ducky, CM Storm, Corsair and Razer...
Though, their price is higher than other places. But, you can try a few MKBs over there.
Alternatively, you can try to go Lowyat and search for display models...(but, they mainly display those keyboards we usually don't recommended like Logitech, Corsair and Razer because they're not using standard layout and sometime using china made switches)

However, even so, they usually don't have display models for something like Filco.

I mean Display Unit.
My last visit to Lowyat, and I don't see Ducky and Filco as well as CM Storm as Display Units. Not sure if they've them on display now or not... sad.gif
Of course, we know Lowyat got everything like Ducky, Filco, CM Storm, Tesoro, Ttesport, Razer, Corsair, Logitech, Armageddon, etc.

The thing is in Lowyat you can ask to see and they will open for you LOL. At viewnet they don't even care if you open the box and test.

For the Viewnet, totally, agreed. There's no sealing sticker or anything on those keyboards. And, nobody is watching you. LOL.

For some other shops, depending on brand policy, some brands allow you to open the box and see, such as Filco.

For Corsair and Razer, I think not. Those boxes are usually sealed completely. Once it's open, you can see it has been tampered before.
