I thought there was something below it...

But yeah is there no such casing for filco?
I kinda like it when the bottom of the keys are exposed..  sweat.gif

Also a cheap vortex doubleshot pbt at massdrop

Filco have a controller above the arrow keys hidden in the casing. So nop no low profile cases for filco.

I'm the same as you. Few months ago i was looking everywhere for a low profile case for filco or any TKL low profile boards. Ended up buying a poker ii because there's low profile cases readily available for it.

But decided i still need the arrow keys so i sold the poker and got myself a b.87 instead laugh.gif

There's this too for way cheaper price. http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...id=&abbucket=11

But it uses kailh switches though you could desolder them and use cherry/gateron switches instead.

What lube do you guys use for cherry stabilizers? Is oil better than grease? Grease seems to make the plastic part a little gummy.

sold my Rosewill...kena FFK by a ducky shine 3 seller...recommend me a KB please...very down now...

Kinda tired with my blue mx ad....
Filco, Vortex, Deck or Shine 4?
*
Filco for me. Switching from first board with costar stabs to a board with cherry stabs (even after clipping the stabs) takes some time to get used to in fact i'm still not too happy with cherry stabs until today but i just use it anyway.

is cyntrix still a legit seller? i paid for a CM Quickfire Rapid-i on 1st April and he hasn't replied my fb msg since then. sad.gif
*
Legit. Never had issues. Previously bought a poker 2 from them through the facebook pm, got the board the next 2 day after payment. Found out a keycap were defected, sent them a photo and they sent me new ones for free within a few days again. Well that's just my experience with them not sure about others.

welcome to the club. now mod it  tongue.gif

there was a list of mkb on earlier version of the thread but i guess couldnt keep up with the amount of users.
When the drop just opened yesterday. i really thought of my wallet making a hole. just nao it was 2000+ and i thought if i buy later i will also get it way much late. so i just dropped myr400+ for a bunch of it straight away.  cry.gif  cry.gif and matt3o (the guy who runs the drop) says it would be the last of the drop.
*
Really tempted to get it too but there's triumph adler set at the same time and i could only choose one. sad.gif

in case you haven't noticed, the TA drop has ended. but a full set of granite which can cover ISO, winkeyless and/or winkey layout (common kit+icon mod+icon pro+iso enter+numpad) goes for $109 while a fullset of TA goes for $99. whistling.gif  whistling.gif  whistling.gif

Yeah i got into the TA drop laugh.gif

I saw SIP sockets without the shell on taobao but didn't save the link. So if without the plastic shell it wouldn't have clearance issue with the switch sticker?

Ahh, think I mess up my question

1. Gateron black linear vs Ergo clear mx
2. Can I make ergo clear from brown mx/ gateron brown?
3. Do massdrop ship 2 different drops in a shipment? ( Granite + ergodox)
*
1. I think you're confused here. Gateron black linear is LINEAR while ergo clear mx is TACTILE. The thing you should be comparing gateron black to is cherry mx black. Gaterons does not their own version of ergo clears / cherry mx clears.

Fair comparison would be,

Gateron Blues - Mx Blues
Gateron Browns - Mx Browns
Gateron Black - MX Blacks
Gateron Yellow - Heavier MX Blacks.
Gateron Reds - Mx Reds
Gateron Clears - Lighter MX Reds

2. Ergo clear has a stronger tactile bump than mx browns. I'm not sure about gateron browns.

3. If im not mistaken I've read the FAQ or somewhere on massdrop that says you cannot combine 2 drops shipment. Each of them is own its own.

1. yeah thats what I'm trying to ask, linear vs tactile cause really wanted to try linear as I have not tried one but scare regret  rclxub.gif
thanks for the reply smile.gif

Ah alright. Linear switches feels like nothing. No tactile bump, nothing in between. Just feels like a downward push and a little bit of spring tension depends on what spring you uses. For me the most similar to clears feeling wise i've used i guess is blues but without the click sound. I've not used other switches than cherry mx though like topre/buckling spring/alps/matias etc so i'm not too familiar with those. But for cherry clears are the most similar to blues for me. You should really try them at a retail shop though different people have different opinion. I like both linear and tactile switches personally.

Hello,  new to the thread,  im planning to get a poker 2 with an aluminium case.  Does anyone know where to get an aluminium case?  Also,  how much will it cost? Thanks
*
Are you in a rush? If not you could probably wait for the pok3r and it comes in aluminium case originally. Someone posted the review before this just scroll up. If its the same price as poker 2 introductory price it's a bargain.

If not, http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index....oduct_list&c=44

[attachmentid=4411069]

it will be something like the picture above but with winkey (of course) if you desire.

You can opt for clear or frosted acrylic. other colors then sendiri spray.
*
Whats the full specs? Alu plate or acrylic plate or no plate?

QUOTE(Epix @ Apr 14 2015, 03:38 PM)
Poker 3 comes in aluminum originally? I'll wait for that... Do you think that there will be a backlight variant of the Pok3r? And how much doo you think that will cost? Thanks for the help, really appreciate it smile.gif
*
Rumoured to be +$10 USD for the backlight version.

QUOTE(Epix @ Apr 14 2015, 04:14 PM)
Do you guys buy stuff from Massdrop? How do you buy from them? How much more expensive is it? Thanks, planning to get some keycaps from there..
*
Sign up > join a drop > pay with paypal > wait for items to arrive. It's not really cheap after you factor in the exchange rate and shipping fees and the waiting time. Shipping costs about $7-$15 usually depending.

Sometimes some guys here will organize a group buy to share the shipping so you could just tag along.

Also if you want to get keycaps, can look for it yourself in taobao or look at the previous page, cloud is organizing a group buy for taihao double shot PBT keycaps currently.
