This reminds me. I bought a DECK switch sampler last year. It's been gathering dust, so if you'd like to loan it PM me and we can work things out.  smile.gif

It's a great start to feel the different switches (MX Black, Red, Blue, Brown) but it can't replicate the feel of the actual keyboard.

Best if you can test the entire keyboard itself at the stores.

It is because the typing feel with and without plate is much different. tongue.gif

I think it's not due to plate or without plate problem... because there's some switches testing boards do come with plate.
IMHO, you need an actual keyboard to test and know the true feeling/effect. Some random single button tests just can't duplicate the result. smile.gif

Really? Thanks alot!
However, I won't want to bother you over a loan just yet, I'll try some display unit at stores first. Suppose going to Heavyarm would make that possible? Will they allow me to molest their mkb's?

oh wow.. first of all, u shud use soldering paste, just use small brush of solder paste on each point b4 soldering. u will get much better results. other than that, i hope u checked the LED polarity. your F1, 2, =+, 6_p, 3_p, C Leds i think is bad soldering. u nid to suck it out and solder again properly. not sure bout other keys cuz cant see properly in the pic tongue.gif. but Kudos to you to have guts on soldering your own MKB! thumbup.gif

Anyways,

Muh dsa granite keycap just arrived finally! look at those textures! oh man that feeling of such beautiful keycap drool.gif drool.gif

Go for Filco Majestouch 2 TKL.
For Filco Majestouch 2 TKL, all keys can be remap including FN.

welcome to the club! rclxms.gif

mainly to test other switch?
my recommendation would be to go to a shop that have demo keyboards to test it out.
testing on switch tester and keyboard are quite different.
