Its been a long time since I've dropped by, same goes to GH as well and I saw there's a local custom keyboard? That's a milestone for the community here. I've recently just joined the group on facebook as well. Hope to see the community expand further here smile.gif
Good luck peeps.

1. That doubleshot is in SA (High sculpture profile) which may and may not suitable for anyone. (Yes, SA profile by SP)

flat is cheap cause easy to make.... sculpted is more expensive.... for typist i'd argue that sculpted is better. also you got those identations to easily identify "f" and "j" for sightless typing.

2. Deck is just a normal brand like other OEM brand which use cherry MX switches, why will it be rolls royce?  rolleyes.gif
clearly i was using an analogy as rolls royce for mkb, but maybe you didn't get what that means rolleyes.gif

basically it has features NOT NORMALLY FOUND in a low end product.... hence it's a premium luxury/extravagant feature/build quality inherent in the more expensive tier of mkbs.... stuff like dye subs, doubleshot keycaps.... POM mkbs also expensive hmm.gif

in terms of build quality, deck tended to be using luxury premium grade builds. just check the review yourself. The one i saw last time was a deck legend which i believe was using POM materials.

QUOTE
Because PBT plastic isn’t usually suitable for laser etching, it is not used for backlit keyboards. There is one solution to this problem though – use doubleshot printing, which fills the empty space with more PBT plastic. This is what Deck does:

The doubleshot printing method uses a semiopaque plastic that prevents these issues, allowing for a backlit key. To my knowledge, nobody else does this. One reason could be cost – combining the most expensive material with the most expensive printing method can’t be cheap.

These keyboards aren’t cheap though. The Deck Hassium Pro sells for about $170-180 in the US, which sounds like a lot when you’re used to shopping for the likes of Cooler Master, Corsair, or even Razer. Typically you won’t find many keyboards more expensive than this made outside Japan.

1. Where do you get the info on flat is cheap and easy, while sculptured is more expensive, anysource? rolleyes.gif
No comment on the preference, but SA profile is not for everyone, I type on it before and it is too high for my liking, I still prefer DCS/Cherry profile in the end.

2. First off, the pbt doubleshot use on DECK is not really that great to type on, for me, Filco ori keycaps is better than it.
For the price of that keyboard, you can always replace aftermarket ABS/PBT keycaps to it, also the DECK PBT DS keycaps can be bought alone rolleyes.gif
And then , I check ur picture link reviews on DECK, for what I read, there is nothing so good about DECK that make it "Rolls Royce" other than using PBT doubleshot keycaps, which is cheap and dat font, oh well rolleyes.gif

If there is really rolls royce, I would say it is Topre Realforce series cool2.gif
