Hi guys, I'm new here After seeing so many friends using MKB and getting poisoned repeatedly, I've decided to accept the pricetag and take the leap of faith. I recalled that there was a mkb loaner floating around, may I know who it's with now? Want to feel for myself what's the best switch for my first mkb.
Right now I'm willing to pay RM 300 as a start. That's based on nil experience real life usage, since I've never own one before (hence not able to appreciate the real value of mkb yet). Depending on how it turns out I might increase my budget.
Hopefully the loaner will help me skip this step and decide on a good purchase in one go.
This reminds me. I bought a DECK switch sampler last year. It's been gathering dust, so if you'd like to loan it PM me and we can work things out.

It's a great start to feel the different switches (MX Black, Red, Blue, Brown) but it can't replicate the feel of the actual keyboard.
Best if you can test the entire keyboard itself at the stores.
Really? Thanks alot! However, I won't want to bother you over a loan just yet, I'll try some display unit at stores first. Suppose going to Heavyarm would make that possible? Will they allow me to molest their mkb's?
Finally took the leap and bought my first MKB! Decided not to deliberate too long and bought a Blackwidow (green) Had my feel on a few of the color switches (though it's Razer switches now, not Cherry MX switches) and decided on green. All the chak-chak-chak is really gooding.
give it half a year at least. then try using rubberdome then tell us your opinion then whether you think mkb was worth it :} It takes time to get use to, as well as appreciate the differences.
anyway gratz and welcome to the poison addiction
Thanks! It's the best purchase I've ever made this year! I'm now stuck with my office laptop. Am already suffering now My wallet's gonna bleed soon because Filco minila really looks tempting right now..
