yes maxshit is wholly-owned subsidiary company, but that doesn't mean shit tbh. the negative stigma associated with that company, plus lack of bigger recognition makes the sentiment of wanting some sort of official Nintendo of SEA or whatever it is understandable.
even if somehow the director decided to rename maxshit into that, it will be much better in name/brand recognition (although it will be much better to totally replace the upper management lol)

edit: also, maxshit being a wholly-owned subsidiary also doesn't mean there can't be Nintendo of SEA at all at the same time. they can just establish it outside Singapore for example whistling.gif

Personal opinion, Maxsoft works great for them. It allows them to have a legitimate presence in SEA but at the same time it allows them to distance themselves as well from any shitty practices done by Maxsoft.

I mean, there has got to be a reason why they would rather use Maxsoft than have a direct presence. Then again, I'm not a business a major so I'm not going to pretend like I know this shit.

All I know is that I'm a consumer and what Maxsoft is doing is very anti-consumer. Going to go read some Malaysian Consumer law and see what I can do about it smile.gif #nolife

Why not...the German consumer rights association brought on legal action against Valve for unfair practices on Steam.
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/02/10...ll-steam-games/

Also, I learned a couple of things. What Maxsoft is doing is called;

Vertical tying - is the practice of requiring customers to purchase related products or services together, from the same company.

Couldn't find anything in the Malaysian Consumer Protection Act 1999 regarding tying of products but in USA the practice of tying is illegal under the Sherman Anti-Trust Act (1890).

Guess this is where my whole night is going... hope it gets me somewhere biggrin.gif

Edit: Might have found something in the Malaysian Competition Act 2010 Section 10(2)(e)

(e) "making the conclusion of contract subject to acceptance
by other parties of supplementary conditions which by
their nature or according to commercial usage have no
connection with the subject matter of the contract; "

Dont think so unless is for my personal stuff. As I already have a new hobby so video game is my secondary/when I have free time to play stuff. With our shitty currency + imba custom tax + stupid supplier don't want to look an eye on me = no business + losing money for me as an importer. Gone with the days where I can still easily pre-order some Japanese game and consoles. My time is over.

The only time I still helping people out is when those regulars coming back to me to order some of those harder to order things. eg. E Capcom or Square Enix Japan.

WTF!?
That means Nintendo is ripping us off directly... as Maxshit is a nintendo's child company. I though Maxshit is just an importer trading company. ohmy.gif
Getting dislike the nintendo... ranting.gif

You get my point? What I mean is drop all the orders. Boycott the day 1 purchase. Wait for 2 weeks. See how the price gonna slides down.

+1. This is what I am talking about all the while. Teach them a good lesson see who can last long. Just show our local unscrupulous scalpers middle finger.
I will get my from Amazon after launch. After all, why the hurry and being forced to pay the premium to scalpers.

Indeed that's really a "confident" move by distributor force selling N-switch with bundle game jack up the price over 2k for a new launch console. Wonder if any of their marketing people do their homework standing from buyer perspective justify the price (obviously no) and thinking about what's impression people getting with such expensive new console force bundle with game.

But in fact I still see lots of people pre-order the consoles so economy still good?

You can try invoking Malaysian Competition Act 2010 Section 10(2)(e) which relates to "tying".

However I couldn't find any cases in Malaysia but there are a few high profile cases in the US;

United States vs. Apple
https://www.law360.com/articles/673665/9th-...st-class-action

United States vs. Microsoft
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Stat..._Microsoft_Corp.

The former was against Apple locking the iphone with carrier AT&T and the latter being Microsoft bundling IE into their Microsoft Office bundle.

Nintendo Switch is so perfect for VR, really hope they push through with it, even though Miyamoto is uneasy about it.

Also really wish SF5 wasn't a Sony exclusive, and hope the other big title fighting games will come to Switch.

The Switch is a great instant portable tournament/vs machine.

For Switch to become a viable VR machine it needs to:
1. Reduce its size and weight
2. Increase its resolution and also graphical horsepower to deliver stable hi-res 60fps.

I would prefer info from official government portal rather than some 3rd party sites, but it seems to be behind a paywall. I thought business registration is public domain?

That link directs you to a Euromonitorreport of the company. The report details the companies portfolios, sales figure and etc. The data is mostly used as market research by other companies and institutions. It is by no mean a free or public report.
