yes maxshit is wholly-owned subsidiary company, but that doesn't mean shit tbh. the negative stigma associated with that company, plus lack of bigger recognition makes the sentiment of wanting some sort of official Nintendo of SEA or whatever it is understandable.
even if somehow the director decided to rename maxshit into that, it will be much better in name/brand recognition (although it will be much better to totally replace the upper management lol)

edit: also, maxshit being a wholly-owned subsidiary also doesn't mean there can't be Nintendo of SEA at all at the same time. they can just establish it outside Singapore for example

I agreed with all your points. I really want to enter into the Nintendo gaming ecosystem and started to look at the NS. However, NS launch price deter me from making that first step into owning my first Nintendo home console (my actual first Nintendo consoles is the NES and SNES during the 90s but that's my parent's). I can confidently put aside RM1500 for a standalone console and wait until there's a sales for NS games to build up my games collection one by one but forcing me to spend RM2000, that's a different story altogether.

I really want to play those great Nintendo exclusive games (e.g. Xenoblade Chronicles X, Super Smash Brothers, Mario series) but at this point of time, maybe I should take a wait and see approach first. Maybe the price will drop in the near future or there will be a new NS without the force bundle option. Looked like I talks too much, back to my PS I go.

Oh no, I mean I don't know about others, but I'm fine with the price. Zelda was a day 1 lock and I was already on the fence for 1,2 Switch. Really, the price differences if you import + that 2 games is around like RM50 or around that. I just thought that they are stupid for making it a bundle, repelling a lot of potential buyers with a RM2k price tag.

Indeed that's really a "confident" move by distributor force selling N-switch with bundle game jack up the price over 2k for a new launch console. Wonder if any of their marketing people do their homework standing from buyer perspective justify the price (obviously no) and thinking about what's impression people getting with such expensive new console force bundle with game.

But in fact I still see lots of people pre-order the consoles so economy still good?

Well, there are many things still selling expensive, example iphone? But still many user buying. Lol

I thought the CPU isn't scalable because it can induce weird behaviors in games (according to Digital Foundry).
