A pair of A. catenulata spiders, quite rare in Malaysia
Yellow-Silver St. Andrew's Cross Spider- Argiope catenulata sub ♀ by Ji Tan, on FlickrAn uncommon Argiope spider in Malaysia, and possibly one of the most beautiful too, thanks to the silverish abdomen. Had a hard time looking for this spider, and it seems that A. catenulata prefers wastelands or any dry areas, unlike other Argiope. Yellow-Silver St. Andrew's Cross Spider- Argiope catenulata ♂ by Ji Tan, on FlickrA male A. catenulata is even harder to find than the female, mainly because they are so small and camouflage very well. The male can be easily recognized by the silver patterns on the abdomen not seen in other male Argiope. QUOTE(KTCY @ Jul 6 2015, 03:24 PM) Wow.... nice lens for travel.. I am contemplating on the lenses below for wide angle... I already have the 24-120 f4 i) Nikkor 17-35mm f2.8 ii)18-35mm f3.5-4.5G Usage for landscape and astro-photography(Milky Way)... I really miss the coverage of the Tokina 11-16 when I was using my d7100. The 24mm not wide enough to cover certain things... hahaha.. especially the milkyway.. Any of you guys tried either of the mentioned lens?? Another spam from Singapore ![]() Gardens By The Bay - Singapore by Kenji Goon, on Flickr |
