Is the food especially raw sashimi fresh?

sashimi was fresh. i went once during lunchtime and it was empty so i was worried about freshness - but i went again during weekend night and it was full house, so that helps with the food turnover.

I've been to Daidomon at Jalan Ampang before. For that price, dont expect a huge variety like Shogun/Jogoya etc. For me the selection of food there is less than quarter of what Shogun has to offer.
But i went there last year if im not mistaken so not sure about now.

my favorite for JAP BUFFET for now is Zipangu!!!!

Kampachi is kind of overrated for me... Munakata, so so only...

the next on my list will be... MAIU, SAGANO and IKETERU...

tenji, jogoya, saisaki, shogun, daidomon, yaki-yaki... all waste money one... >____<

Anyone can give their opinion on which is better? Zipangu or Genji (PJ Hilton)? Or any other Japanese buffet for that matter?

Headache...but I guess it's about personal preference after all. I found that we as Malaysian like to eat strong food with strong favor and I guess that is why you hardly can
find authentic Japanese food in Malaysia. Even Jogoya has changed their food variety (serving fusion food) to suit Malaysian taste bud...

Personally, I think Tao and Rakuzen are the recommended one currently. (Who knows when are they getting big and start ignoring quality?)

Btw, seems GoEatOut has a post about top 10 Japanese restaurants list... blink.gif

more likely to trust bloggers who give bad/poor reviews. it's the ones that the restaurant go and sponsor them and then they blog "omg the food super nice" ... this one dunno whether biased due to the free meal.

i went to the sri petaling branch. i won't say the food's very good, but it's worth it to go and whack salmon and tuna sashimi.

lol...
We just read those blog stuffs..
It would be a mistake to trust them as they got paid for reviewing their foods...
So they are PROHIBITED to write bad things i must say...
There are always good more than bad in their reviews anyhow..

So which jap buffet would u guys recommend for budget rm80-120 per head for weekend lunch?
prefer quality more than quantity as it is special occasion. Got fedup with subpar quality at Shogun/Tenji2
