Didn't like Shogun when i went there.

seating lousy. food not so great.

but then that was a year or 2 ago, so I wonder if they've improved.

Jogoya is overrated la. i went there, so so only and if you consider the $$$ you pay, aiyoh it's not worth.

just went to Tenji. Love it, better than Jogoya and Shogun!

some more RM 50 discount, buy at RM 20. LOL. end up RM 30 discount, not counting the hassle. then need to spend RM 200.

ok guys. i went to Tenji again and i would probably be my last visit.

food was nice (love the soft-shell crab and pomfret) but ah, you know la the dishes are pretty much the same. you'll get bored!

and i would like to confirm that the oysters are not as gigantic as before. heck looks normal sized. in short, the oyster i saw today has the flesh mass that's 1/3 of the one in my photo. haha, so panasonic88 was right.

Tenji ah, is more like 3 in 1 buffet - Chinese, Western, Japanese.

you look at their Japanese food choices, it's so so only. Sushi choices also so little, let alone other things.

here's the bar counter for Chinese food.

IMO the place is only worth visiting when the per person cost is around RM 50.

bleh, Tenji is a horrible choice if you want JAPANESE buffet.

the variety in their Japanese menu is far from being impressive. Tenji feels more like a Chinese + Western + Japanese combo.

since you want buffet, try the above mentioned, and also perhaps include places like Saisaki into your list. I heard Shogun has improved but not sure how it goes.

If you want authentic Japenese quality food, perhaps you should consider the non buffet ones.

went there last year, Oct for their fine dining.

i also tried their non FD stuff, it's nice la. price is alright. no buffet, not that i can remember.

Jogoya is to me, pretty much like Tenji.

not entirely Japanese also. Went there, never gone back since. find it overrated.

tu la, i surprised people still say good. i went in 2007 and i don't feel it's Japanese. ok la the food, it's not to say bad, it's just overrated in my book.

it's like Tenji. Good, yes. but it's not something sooooooo JAPANESE. it's a mix, and the Jap part also nothing fancy. go cincai Sake Sushi also got better stuff.

sure boh? to me long que and 3 months reservation could just mean overrated stuff also.

but seriously, a lot of people doesn't mean the food there is superb or what, look at Sushi Zanmai. A lot of people, 4pm also crowd is there. is the food superb? nope, it's so so only.

most places already stated "photos are for illustration purpose only."

if can, 1st place i go sue is McD. haha.

the real good ones are usually the one with lesser people IMO.

i saw Jogoya, Tenji, Shogun, Zanmai and Sakae - a lot of people........ great food? not really. good, yes. affordable? quite so. value for $$$, subjective. that, by all means, does not mean the food quality is great.

cool - that makes 2 of us. haha. it's like McD la. the portion they serve nowadays sucks so badly that McChicken is no different from Chicken Burger. Their QUARTER POUNDER doesn't seem quater pound, often so hard and dry. I went to Wendy's the other day order triple-layer donno what pounder - it was awesome!

a lot of people, drive through also car line up.......... that doesn't mean they're awesome.

how is that unfair la? VIP card of course can get VIP food. if no VIP card can get then what's the value behind VIP food to begin with?

if not mistaken Kampachi is ala carte buffet.
