lunch session on weekend about rm80+ including extra charges. I notice their menu slightly change from time to time. if your lucky, you get to eat rare seafood, something more expensive. maybe depends on the season laugh.gif there was once I went, they served Haagen Daaz ice cream rclxm9.gif

so which is the best place for a japanese buffet?
nvm if its mixed or pure Jap as long as quite focused on Jap.
price is not a matter coz my mum loves Jap buffet.....rarely eat out oso
where n how?
thx

go Jogoya, Starhill top floor. the price can hit up to rm100 on Sunday per person. they have 2 lunch sessions on 12pm and 2.30pm. 2.30pm session is 10 bucks cheaper. laugh.gif its best to make reservations first coz always packed on weekends. they have all kinds of food there, you can book a private room just for your family.

momo is near the McD near KDU there.
( i havent been to momo too )

matsuba, if you're coming from the maybank in sri hartamas, you'll pass the fire station on your left, go further down till the end of the road ( to a T junction ) matsuba is just on your left hand side, 2nd floor ( yellow signboard with Green wordings )

Know any place with "Doria" on the menu? Common fusion dish in JP family restaurants like Royal Host. Miss it more than usual sushi, tempura stuff....

Also, friend asked to meet at Yoshinoya....errrmmm..... not great even in JP but here, tasted completely different. Hope if Matsuya opens here, will get more authentic choice.

The KL one is Saisaki. It's in the UOA building, behind Wisma Cosway. Near the Istana Hotel.

The 1-U is Shogun. It's on the new wing. It's on the 2nd floor Oval area. It's near the escalators, S&J outlet and Esquire Kitchen.

I recommend the 1-U place, coz can jalan jalan after makan very full, LOL!

IIRC It's about 50++. Mostly Japanese food. Some is fusion but still Japanese inspire to suit local taste.

Don't expect to see Nasi Lemak, or Roti Canai ok, LOL!

Make a reservation if you want to go to avoid lining up, just in case. Don't want to be embarrassed on a date right?

Because I'm feeling nice I'll PM you the phone number.

I used to like Keyaki (Pan Pacific) and Kampachi (Equatorial) but I'm starting to go more and more to Midori (Marriot) and like it very much there.

I really have to try Shangri La if it really is that good. I miss the variety and freshness of the fish you can get in places like Tokyo or New York. O-toro anyone? biggrin.gif
