As far as I know, for ETIQA, travel delay will be automatic (without the need to file claim) - as we need to key in our flight info and bank account details. Can anybody verify?

for those like delay or lost luggage etc, not usual to find Credit Card insurance coverage gives better compensation than these travel insurance. Typically these travel insurance will pay you something like RM 200 for every 6 hours delay. But credit card's can sometime give u RM 1000 to buy necessity stuff.

U must provide original receipts to claim. Provided U buy the ticket from the airline directly. If buy thru travel agent etc, I think not cover in Credit Card insurance coverage

When you buy stuff, you get receipt. Easy

Different credit card have different condition. Some doesn't need you pay for air ticket to get covered as long you use your card overseas is proof enough.

most CC give complimentary travel insurance when full airline fare charge through the card
but i read the fineprint, it doesnt not cover when it happen in "country of the residence"
meaning to say, if i travel locally or I come back from oversea and luggage missing/flight delay and whatnot, i wont be covered
what kind of bullshit is this

Say. Travel from UK to Malaysia and luggage lost.

How can the insurance company know it's lost in Malaysia? Couldn't it be in UK or somewhere over France or India or wherever the plane flew over?

Is there any travel insurance that can cover my travel case?

hi all, will be working overseas on a long term assignment soon. just wondering is it ok to just rely on the travel insurance purchased in Malaysia instead of getting in locally in the overseas country? i've tried comparing and their rates there are much expensive than the travel insurance we can get here... sweat.gif anyone mind to share any experience? tq

Hi, I would like to know if there's any specific insurance that I can purchase to cover for any accidental damage towards electronic items when checking it in as baggage? The item is not possible to be hand carry as it big and heavy. AFAIK electronic items is not covered under normal insurance that comes together with the flight ticket. I will be traveling using Malaysia Airlines. Anyone experienced this before, any feedback or recommendation is highly appreciated.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Mod please move this thread to proper location if it isn't.

Thanks.

I use BUPA. Max cover per trip for damage baggage is USD3,500 per person per trip. Reimburse.
