hello everyone... me and few other friends are going off to Dhaka, Bangladesh next week for a debate competition.
However, we are very concerned of the recent outbreak of Influenza A. Does anyone know of any insurance company in Malaysia that provides travel insurance covering Influenza A ?
Thanks in advance.

When it's some outbreak, no insurance company would be sane enough to cover it. It's just common sense as they work on risk and probability. So even if they do, the premium paid would be high.

Nomad is a travel insurance that cover most of the country in the world. I dont think they cover for swine flu but its very cheap from as low as USD5. You can contact them if something happen to you. My friend lost his handphone when he visited Macau and after that, he called Nomad and Nomad insurance gave him a compession.

Hey, For those of you going overseas on holiday for extended periods of time (more than 1 mth), did you get medical & travel insurance? Which did you get? I was considering taking the HSBC Travelsafe plan (http://www.hsbc.com.my/1/2/personal-banking/insurance/travelsafe) for RM 358 (individual). Can anyone comment on it or give other recommendations? Thanks!

I buy from my current insurance company cos as their existing holder they give better rates and low premium. Try shopping around and look for the key features and what can claim or not.
