It has Excess of RM50.00 but AXA don;t have this

Section 2.1 - Accidental & Sickness Medical Expenses Reimbursement
We will indemnify You, up to the maximum limit for Accidental Medical Expenses Reimbursement as specified in the Table of Benefit, subject to an Excess of RM50.00 only per claim, for Medical Expenses which are all Reasonable and Customary Charges incurred due to an Accident sustained by You during the Journey.

Never found one as most of the travel insurance are on reimbursement method....

Do update us if you find any :-)

QUOTE(momusu @ Dec 6 2017, 08:18 AM)
Q: Are there any travel insurance that covers medical bills upfront? Meaning we don't have to pay first, then only claim for reimbursement. Most that i found says we have to foot the bills first. Return back to malaysia, then make a claim.

Yes...Majority policy will cover only covers baggage delay when you arrive your destination

However MSIG travel insurance covers baggage delay for both sectors i.e from & to home country!

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Jul 6 2018, 08:28 AM)
Not that I know of. As far as I know, insurance only covers baggage delay when you arrive your destination. Not home country.

All critical illness will be cover provide it's NOT a pre-existing illness...

Insurance company will have a way the determine the pre-existing illness....

Ask your Insurance company/agent for more info

QUOTE(Pitbulllover @ Jul 28 2018, 11:47 PM)
I've gone through the axa smart traveller vip travel insurance. It's very brief on the coverage.

For example my concern is on unforeseen critical illness like stroke , heart attack etc. Will they cover under medical illness and the coverage enough to cover the expenses? Mostly will travel to Thai , Laos , Myanmar and Cambodia. But not frequent.

Another concern is if I'm travelling alone, how do I make claim if I'm unconscious due to some bad things happen to myself, will they check with all insurance company or I need to inform family members upfront about my itinerary?

Sorry for the silly question . Thank you much

Legit as it's the official purchasing site

Buying direct will enjoy 25% discount...else the same amount will go to your friendlier insurance agents!

QUOTE(hwachong @ Aug 6 2018, 10:47 AM)
has anyone purchase axa travel insurance from https://digital.axa.com.my/travel-insurance-malaysia/? There is 25% discount. Is this legit?

I tried to get my boarding pass from Scoot Airlines for claiming on the delayed flight & they say cannot reprint! Not sure why

QUOTE(cappuccino vs latte @ Oct 28 2018, 08:19 PM)
Bought Allianz Travel Care (Online).

Proceed to claim for a 9 hours flight delay.

One of the document requested -- boarding pass unintentionally left in the aircraft when disembark -- the delayed journey just made me so fatigue to forget to bring back the piece of paper.

After the insurer heard of the above, no more respond and further engagement afterward -- they just simply ignored what other supporting e.g. irregularity itinerary and airline irregularity report provided to them earlier.
Moral of the story, look for other insurers in future trips.

I think Flight Cancellation benefit in any travel Insurance, don't cover when airlines stop serving the route...

Cover only if Flight Cancellation due to strike or riot...

You may check your policy document for more info

QUOTE(Tutuppintu @ Nov 22 2018, 11:05 PM)
Guys just bekful when buy TUNE PROTECT upon checkout on AAX.

Read the T&C carefully.

I bought airtix from Auckland to KL for May 2019 on 20th October 18 during promo. A few days later,  I go book Auckland to Christchurch, with Jetstar as connecting flight from Auckland. (because AAX dun fly to Christchurch) and also because I believed AAX will honor their services.

2 weeks later on 8th November 2018 AAX announced they cancel all KL to Auckland flights starting 11 Feb 2019. The best alternative AAX give is to fly to Australia.
So I ask for refund from AAX, 2 weeks still belum dapat yet. sad.gif

My biggest question is why throw a promotion and yet they had plans to cancel 2 weeks later? Really heartbroken, kena played and tipu.

I made claim with Tune Protect, AAX cancel flight and suspend the whole route, which is not my fault and no alternatives provided by AAX to get to Auckland.  Tune Protect denied claim because it doesn't cover in their policy and they said AAX has refunded my insurance money. Which they have not, AAX still holding my 13K hostage and insurance money.

Just bkful. Dun kena tipu like me. Say travel worry free. All tipu, better buy others.
