What to buy, what to buy....
RM4 to the dollar seen Saturday, 21 March 2015 “We are now at RM3.70 against the US dollar even before the US has increased the interest rates. The country has only spoken about increasing its rates, and when it does there is a possibility that the ringgit would tumble to 4.00 against the dollar,” http://www.thestar.com.my/Business/Busines...seen/?style=biz |

QUOTE(T231H @ Mar 21 2015, 09:59 AM) What to buy, what to buy.... I remember once upon a time when Dr M was still in charge he pegged the ringgit RM 3.80 to USD 4.00. So this a reminiscence of 1998!RM4 to the dollar seen Saturday, 21 March 2015 “We are now at RM3.70 against the US dollar even before the US has increased the interest rates. Our PM said kangkung is good, so let's all just eat kangkung for b'fast, lunch and dinner. BTW, Buy EU produce lar... Euro is done against USD! Buy Japan import lar, Yen is also down against USD! A quick comparison article
For this year's Lipper Fund Award 2015, a total of 51 individual awards were given out as compared to 43 last year. The biggest winner was RHB Asset Management with 12 awards followed closely by Eastspring Investments Berhad with 10 awards. The breakdown of awards won according to fund houses are as shown below. Plus, I've also taken the liberty to include records of past awards won by fund houses in 2013 and 2014 for your reference and comparison. http://invest-made-easy.blogspot.com/ |

I suggest a port consisting of Asia Pac Large stock ala Ponzi 2.0 and Asia Pac small cap ala Ponzi 1.0, and perhaps a small percentage in REITs and corp bond to reduce volatility. Ponzi 2.0 40%, Ponzi 1.0 30% Hwang Asia Pac REITs 15% Hwang Select Bond 15% You are fully diversify in Asia Pact Xuzen This post has been edited by xuzen: Mar 21 2015, 10:55 AM |

Ponzi 2.0 40%, Ponzi 1.0 30% Hwang Asia Pac REITs 15% Hwang Select Bond 15% You are fully diversify in Asia Pact Xuzen Then I will go for a Asia PAC major buildup, I HV rebalanced my pfolio actually early 2015 Before 4q 2014, my built was 70% MY(10% bond + 60% eq) n 30% dev + ap, then we all know wat happened during 4q, ouch, my kiasu instinct forced me to rebalance, then on till now is 50% MY(20% bond + 30%eq) n 50% dev + ap(25/25) I won't switch, but since Im doing monthly lump sum, I will further rebalance to fit into Asia PAC major, looking at 70%, will consider adding a reits fund too, been marking on amasia PAC reits class b since late last year, thought it wasn't effective enough to add value into my pfolio then Cheers |

QUOTE(Kaka23 @ Mar 21 2015, 11:22 AM) Nope! Come to think of it, I want to make this caution:UT performance is actually more of the skill of the Fund Manager. Even though the macro economics may say this and that, ultimately if the FM skills suxs, the UT will skill perform below benchmark. Many have say that Nikkei may benefit from Abenomics, that does not mean the UT that buy into that geographical region may perform well. In the whole FSM list of available fund, only Affin Hwang have a specific Japan centric exposure but it is a very new fund, hence do not have historical data to gauge its performance. The other with Nikkei exposure worth mentioning is AM Asia-Pac REITs (22% Japan REITs exposure). The rest performance is underpar and not worth looking into.
