World shares shuffled away from all-time highs on Tuesday as surging Chinese stocks took a breather and investors began to retreat to the sidelines ahead of the Federal Reserve's policy meeting.

Overnight in Asia, MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan had followed Wall Street lower as it dropped 0.5 percent, but only after touching its highest level since January 2008.

PE of China A-shares had exceeded Fair PE value (from 12 to 17 against Fair PE of 14)
PE of India had reduced to below Fair PE value (from 16.4 to 13 against Fair PE of 15)

Manulife India Equity continues to go down. Yesterday was the 10th continuous day of losses (0.985 in total). And expected to continue. Today down again.  mad.gif

Lowest NAV price in 4 months. Probably a good time for new investors to go in...maybe in the next few days?

Thanks for the info bro. I think you are referring to CIMB Asia Pacific Dynamic Income fund? Also known as Ponzi 2.

Yes, I have it too as part of my core portfolio. It is currently up at +8.35%. Without a few of the star performers in my portfolio, my portfolio would be swimming in a sea of red now.  sweat.gif

I think there are a few positives about Aberdeen Islamic World Equity Fund:

1) Moderate risk fund
2) Global fund (46% exposure in Europe, 21% exposure in US, no exposure to volatile China market)
3) Large holdings in healthcare stocks both in US and Europe

Will be studying that fund smile.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif Thank you sifu for direction.

As Looi said, India is one of the few world markets which have a PE ratio that's lower than the Fair PE value.

But then again:

(Cough, cough). I have quite a number of funds. For equity funds alone, currently I have about 13 funds. I think it goes up and down every month for my satellite funds.

Off the top of my head, the other funds I have are:-

(1) CIMB Global Titans
(2) Aberdeen World
(3) Eastspring Small Cap
(4) Eastspring GEM Fund
(5) Libra Consumer
(6) TA BRIC
(7) CIMB Greater China
(8) AmPrecious Metals.

Are you scared off by the list??? Muahahaha.

I won't buy into Manulife India. I tried it once when I started invested in FSM. Didn't like it. Sold it off.

Something about the Indian stock market sent warning bells to me then....

I don't know bro. Call it the sixth sense of an old timer.

I have the same feeling about the China market now. I can't wait to get out from my China funds once the ROI reach a certain percentage.

Still in Asia. But I will concentrate a bit on Japan ans South Korea. Mid-term, I may go back to buying a US fund.

Noob question. Nothing to do with FSM. How do we quote and reply to more than one member at the same time??? See post no. 3312 for eg.
