My dad's Beetle 1300 just came back from the workshop today, I'll be driving it most of the time from now on. What is the fc like? Compared to my Kancil that takes me from Damansara to Subang and back for 5 ringgit, will the Beetle be able to do that?

its time that i let my project go. its a 1972 1300 bug with 1.6cc. engine and gearbox. its a project i have since the crisis in 98' and has seen me most wonderful memories. despite the attachment, i have to let him go. see the picture below, and if you truly have the passion, do drop me a PM.

beetle's tech from 40's...til 90's hehe..that is which make or origin of production u purchased from lo..
anyway my beetle is consuming around 22cents with a 1.6 engine... it's drastically different if you're having a 1.3cc...it depends on u if wanted a powerful engine or a fuel save car

i send my beetle to this one uncle, an old timer at kluang johor
he repair beetles at his house and for cheap price
well my beetle was 1.3cc so have to use 2 switch unlike 1.2cc that using only one
but mine was did something that makes it use only 1 switch, the other one just left unwired
total costing is
switch = RM36 for 1 piece (i buy my own at spare parts shop)
workmanship = RM15 (really cheap )

if say hard job i'm not sure
coz the thing is located at the brake master pump so need to open the driver side tire
and also need to be fast unless u have to bleed the brake
and now my beetle brake was in good conditions

this uncle he drive a 1.2cc 1969 beetle
he use the car since 1980 (he told me that)
all functions on his beetle was suprisingly on great conditions
example the wiper water spray, hazards light..
even the radio cassette is old one
but the most thing that attract my attention is his wheels
later i'm gonna post the pic of his wheels

by the way im quite new on this beetle crisis,
but my family was a bit crazy on beetle,
at home my father now working on restoring a 1970 1.6cc
and on 2nd oct we going to batu pahat to buy one more beetle 1.2cc thats now undergoing paint process

weird enough, my beetle is a 1.6, but the brake only uses 1 switch..
anyway it's good that u have a mechanic that charge u at such cheap price. can't wait to see your pictures!(of the mech's car and your family's cars...)
