Hi, I am new to driving. And really dont really know much about car.
But I am passionate to buy a volkswagen. Either this one or mini clubman. the old ONES.~

Very confused.

People claim the maintenance is pretty high.

If I buy the modified one, the is sold for RM8000 ( below ),
should it be a great old vw for me to drive?

Should I pick the low mileage one?

Please help me.
Dilemma. People ask me to buy kancil instead but I really admire
to own VW!

Can someone PM me to talk?
I live in Kelantan.

last time i heard a decent air cond cost about 1k.
u can try visiting a shop which sells alot vw parts in malacca.
there're shops in jalan ipoh, and pandamaran klang too.
or, u could visit this page and ask http://mostlymyvw.18.forumer.com/

hope this helps.

You gotta realise that 'classic cars' are pretty much 'old cars' and old cars tend to have parts that break down because of their age.
That's where the 'high maintenance' comes from compared to new cars which have parts lifespan (which might be better because of new tech, etc)
Owning used cars can be a pain because of the amount of wear and tear parts.

These old.. erm.. 'classic cars' are already old so mileage plays little part...

Buy a Kancil or VW?
Well, it all boils down to you.
Is fiddling with a car part of your hobby? Are you car enthusiast? Can you live without Power Steering (and other features not found in most modern cars)?
If yes then buy a VW.

There are also 2 types of classic VW drivers.. one purists who maintains the originality of the car while the other would pimp it!
