i know the company very well.. its a good place to start if you are fresh... many of the guys there are fresh and then they ventured out after few years...
they even got to travel a lot, anywhere they have projects (korea etc.)
they got a branch in jb, are going for the jb or singapore side?
*
Hi thanks for reply. The position is meant for Singapore side. Not yet even shortlist for interview, but so far the HR ask to fill up 8-10 pages worth of profiling questions, some i find really personal :S

Reducing manhours is only for RNZ right? not PML right
*
Not really sure. Petrofac-KW Subsea and Petrofac-SPD Well Engineering are also reducing manhours. Its just a rumor or not saya pun tak pasti.

But not for Petrofac E&C I guess. They have a lot of thing need to be done for RAPID Pengerang soon.

Hi, some updates and sharing smile.gif

ExxonMobil hiring fresh grads... in fact my friends and I just had interviews with their engineers today for the 001-Inexperienced positions (Mechanical/Chemical Engineer grads)

I was interviewed for the Mech Eng position, from what the Exxon guy (American, cant remember his name) told me it seems like they mostly need design engineers for static equipments. If you get hired, you will be travelling a lot to other countries.

http://jobsadvertog.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/exxonmobil.html

More jobs can be found here.. Petronas also hiring, but experienced hires only I think.

I hope you ace your interview session. Having ExxonMobil working experience in your CV worth a gold. I know because I do. If I had a chance again to rejoin EMEPMI I will take the offer. Hopefully Guntong EOR will be on track soon. Insyaallah.

Can't help you on this... I didn't 'apply'. What I did was, I sent my CV to UKEC-Graduan career fair website. The career fair committees were the ones responsible for forwarding all the CVs to participating companies. If the companies are interested, they'll call you up or send an email to arrange for an interview. I guess the time they take to call you depends on how many CVs they have to scan through. But if you want to apply, you can apply directly from Exxon's website. If you click on the link I gave, you will see a bunch of different job posts. Just choose any post you want and click on the link given below the post and it will lead you directly to Exxon's website. Sorry im not much of a help! sweat.gif

Petrofac has many subsidiaries under her group. Among all, Petrofac Malaysia Ltd (PML), an E&P arm, pay quite generous and benefit are good too.

I heard across Petrofac subsidiaries they are reducing manhours which lead to salary cut, just my assumption anyway.

Petrofac E&C (PEC) just clinched a package in RAPID Pengerang, I believe you have been called for an interview from this subsidiary.

Again, my question would be - is it money your main motivation to involve in O&G?
*
yes, got an interview call up. yet waiting for the official email from them. again, the interview is for sales engineer position. what should i prepare abang yakup?

ofcourse money is one of the driven factor still the experiences is my priority.

If its Sales Engineer from Petrofac, I believe the roles either from Petrofac-KW Subsea or Petrofac-SPD Well Engineering. YOU MUST ACE THIS INTERVIEW SESSION. This will be a good ticket for you for a huge exposure in Upstream and Downstream O&G at large.

Do your homework about KW-Subsea and SPD Well Engineering, these subsidiaries are wholly owned by Petrofac.

Again, I repeat, YOU MUST ACE THIS INTERVIEW SESSION.

To add - KW Subsea and Pegasus are the same if not mistaken. Also own by Petrofac.

Petrofac businesses are very LARGE in nature. They had been buying a lot small O&G vendor at UK.

Major income revenue for Petrofac is coming from Petrofac E&C division based at Sharjah. Petrofac E&C is our close competitor beside Jacobs, WorleyParsons, CB&I, Kentz and other international EPC player on global scale.

Petrofac's main engineering house located at Woking, UK.

To share - MTC Engineering Sdn Bhd is a good platform for fresh grad untuk berjinak2 dalam dunia fabrication O&G, apart of Naval Arch exposure.

I also recommend Petrotimur Sdn Bhd as a playing ground for an exposure for fresh grad too.

There are many small to medium local O&G fabricator out there located at East Coast, in fact you can also find at those big shop located at Balakong Seri Kembangan area. Terkejut ke sebab aku cakap kat Balakong pun ada involve in O&G fabrication? Hehe. Because these small and midsize engineering shop at Balakong getting a small subcontract portion from local & international EPC player like KNM, Chiyoda, Toyo, JGC, KHL and such.

Also, area kat Batu Pahat and Pasir Gudang, lagi bersepah those engineering shop yang involve in O&G fabrication. Even dekat Seremban pun ada. Banyak sangat.

Itu pun kalau fresh grad tak terlalu memilih.

Aku suap lagi pada pagi ini. Suap jangan tak suap.
