Apa yang abang perlu lakukan sekarang adalah untuk menebalkan muka dan hantar CV abang kepada mereka personally jika boleh. Tak salah for unconventional method CV submission jika abang betul2 serious untuk mencari peluang pekerjaan.

Because I have one friend using that unconventional method before. He approach at least 100 offices for those O&G subcon and vendor related. Of course he politely called the HR for appointment first then he submit his hardcopy CV. Pegi opis diorang pakai kapcai jer bang. Relaks jer.

I never heard about Omega before but when I saw about the requirement it is similar to ScopeTel and Kongsberg Marine product for PAGA and telecommunication system - famous for OSV's marine telecommunication system, radar, navigation and such.

There are various products for electronic, telecomm, PAGA system related to O&G. I think Omega could be a good start for you.

Perhaps abgkik can give further input because he is otai in floater.

To be honest, my knowledge in floater industry are very limited. I would like to have a solid floater EPCIC experience especially in FSO/FPSO hopefully one day.

I guess you will be dealing with a lot OSV player in SG such as Swiber, DORF, Nam Chong etc. FSO/FPSO builder would be like Modec, TeeKay, Bumi Armada, Yinson, BW-Offshore etc.

Some recruiters are like that. They try to establish themselves as different and make you fill up questionnaires, try to profile you and see if you are this type or that type.

Frankly I don't see any point to that and in my opinion while there's some logic to it by doing psychological evaluations, i think it's more of a marketing gimmick because of the nature of more of these questions. I don't know the real person until spent at least a reasonable time with him (that's why i prefer face to face/phone interviews!)

i know the company very well.. its a good place to start if you are fresh... many of the guys there are fresh and then they ventured out after few years...
they even got to travel a lot, anywhere they have projects (korea etc.)
they got a branch in jb, are going for the jb or singapore side?

ok... i guess the salary in sgd which is better, but it will be low i guess for a start up... which is why most of the guys ventured out after few years, but i know most of them get other job easily bcos of the exp the gained in omega. goodluck to you anyway. i think i knew few guys in sg office, but im more familiar with the ppl in jb branch..
