QUOTE(dreamer101 @ Aug 24 2015, 09:00 PM) Folks, https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3461956/+1900This is for people that do not understand how RM drop affect fixed price ASx. And, they still dump money into ASx. 1) Most of your savings are in EPF and they are invested in GLC and Malaysia Government's Bond. Now, you put money into ASx, you are putting all eggs in ONE basket. For bumi, due to political reason, it is SAFE for them to invest in ASB. For non-bumi, if anything went wrong, your ASx will be used to bail out ASB. 2) With RM crashing down, how does the fixed price ASx help you?? The depreciation of RM will wipe out any dividend that you get. 3) KLSE is crashing down. ASx is invested in GLC and MGS. So, how can it be fixed at RM1?? There is a buffer. So, whoever withdraw and can be paid out at RM1 will have the money. So, what happened when the buffer run out and the ASx need to sell the actual share that had went down?? Do not put all your eggs in ONE basket. This problem is not going to be fixed any time. Oil price is not coming back up any time soon. Dreamer |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Aug 24 2015, 09:59 PM) Worried? Hehe...1) Whole Malaysia using TNB, majority uses TM and Astro. Cookie jar is always full. PNB already said will have announcement if got changes. 2) Every year, ASX have been saving dividend. 3)The depreciation of RM will wipe out any dividend that you get. What about FD? Interest earned will be wipe out more compare to ASX. 4) KLSE going to crash. Didn't KLSE crash badly in 1998? Some thing will happen. Some kind of control will be put in place to prevent people from moving money overseas. Very sure on this one. That's the only thing they can do. History have shown they have give consistently high dividends without fail. 5) Oil is not going to rise. True. But from previous records I believe ASX have enough reserve to last at least 5 years. Anything can happen in 5 years. Yes. I agree with dreamer. Do not put all eggs in one basket. Best place to diversify will be SGREITS. Dividends more can reach ASX level. But for now ASX, will be enough for me. Not going to put all in ASX. Some will go to FD also. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Aug 24 2015, 10:30 PM |

Some of them who hold shares already suffering up to 50% lost of value.
Poor people like me does not have enough bullet to buy different types of stocks to spread out the risk, can only afford to park some cash into ASX. |
