Well, it depends on your luck and how helpful the staffs who attended you are..

Even in my previous visit to the ASNB branch in Kuching was not successful.. Not only that, they targeted me to open ASG with them...

KLIA2 nice stuff. No questions asked. They will open for you.

lol. in fact the asnb staff told me they can but they just don't want to (for whatever reasons)

maybe they scare if no units available, the staff needed lot of workpaper to be done like closed the account, burn the passbook etc. then risk kena Memo from HQ
so they juz lazy to do it

ahhh they should have a system to check the available units first before opening the account right

only the new system have that capabilities.. funds under New System are ASM, ASD, ASG, ASN & ASN3 & ASB2..

ASW2020 & AS1M under old system.. needed to key-in account number than only can buy.. they cannot see unit available

It makes me wonder that is it easy to open account if the fund is using new system..

The fund that I targeted which is ASW2020 is still using old system while ASM which many have successful tried to open new account was using new system..

ASNB didn't assign specific quota for each race in respect of ASM

at maybank bbt1, klang. this is my 5th attempt only successful open

actually the officer also bias 1..before me got a guy try to ask for new asnb account opening she told him no quota anymore.

but she see me come so many time ady, then decide to try for me and wualaaa~~

thank god for that

new system can "see" in real time the unit availability while old system needed to "try&error"

but if the staff lazy, bias. then even with new system u still cannot open new account

By the way, i managed to pump in RM500 into my AS1M just now..

Unfortunately, cash limitation for me..

How I wish i could borrow the luck from you guys.. Just a simple account for my ASW2020 even with a small amount of RM100 initial deposit would do..

I am out of luck here in East Malaysia, should plan to try in West Malaysia when i went there to travel in future..
