Discontinue of re-investment for all Fixed price Funds?
*
I hope that it would not be discontinued.. It is so difficult to bank in with the limited chinese quota.. Hope that this is just rumor

Can still go with Now Every One Can Fly Air Asia!!!

Return at about RM300 only.

May go for me as it is about 3 hrs drive for me. But worth going for a non bumi like me?
*
I am thinking about going also.. Very seldom have the opportunity to join this kind of roadshow..

Most of the time the roadshow is in Semenanjung / Penisular..

But as you said, is it worth for us as non-bumi to go?

Haha... If i am given an opportunity to open an account for ASW2020, even with a minimum of RM100 I also would go.. smile.gif

Yape, If i am confirmed going there, will update here.. Once in a blue moon to invest such a trip to the roadshow might worth it especially when we are investing heavily in their funds.. blush.gif

Attended the JB's MSAM in 2009, where I managed to open and buy >30k units for one of the ASx. Seems like they released some units for sale during this period. Sorry can't remember the details but maybe can call ASNB for more info.
*
Wow, how i wished that i have tonnes of money to bank in.. but too bad, cashflow limited..

anyway, very appreciated for the information.. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Mar 16 2015, 11:20 AM)
Was at the ASNB KL main branch today to deposit some cash into ASG before GST comes into force. Saw a Chinese investor withdraw from AS1M (based on the yellow book). Heard that she's worried about 1MDB (I was laughing inside) when queried by the teller. I could see the teller was trying hard to keep a straight face.

No sooner that she left the next Chinese guy who came to the teller tried to deposit into ASM but failed. I guess he saw the lady before him close her account he tried asking if AS1M was available.

Lo and behold there where units available and then he proceeded to just put stacks upon stacks of RM100 bills while filling up the account opening form. My rough calculations based on what I can see, he managed to get at least RM10k in AS1M.

Moral of the story: Your best bet to get fixed price looks to be AS1M. Take advantage of people who listen to rumors rather than doing proper research (like reading the annual report). Some people never learned the lesson of those who listen to rumors when AS1M was first launched and are regretting their choice.

ps: I took a long time because I had to change passbook and also empty my piggy bank which was already full tongue.gif

Well said. rclxms.gif

Typical case of buying on facts, and selling on rumours
*
Thats where opportunity comes in..

As per an advise from someone involved in the stock market said.. ''buy when people sell''...

Hopefully this trend would persist until the moment when the dividend is declared because i am running out of money to try..

Guys, I believed that there are still many available units.

i try to get as1m this morning...they told me rm100 also don't have.. sad.gif

maybe the chinese quota already full again..

due to numerous bank in arise from the opportunity of the misunderstanding for the 1MDB debt issue..

I am consider lucky to bank-in but too bad it is only a little..

But i sure believe that if there is some more posting on the 1MDB issue, it would also indirectly increase the withdrawal of the AS1M.. So there might be further opportunity to try at a latter date.

1MDB may scrap energy IPO, opt for direct sale instead.

so guys, your AS1M is safe for now tongue.gif
*
I believe that AS1M is safe no matter what happen to 1MDB because of the following reasons:-
a) AS1M does not invest in 1MDB
b) ASNB and 1MDB is separate entity.

Just my point of view.

Prestasi Kewangan KOWAMAS & Kadar Dividen 2008 - 2013

**DIVIDEND 20%- 2011, 2012
**DIVIDEND 15%- 2013
Are these for real?

Or only for the special group of M'sians?

Based on the source from the website, on the e-borang, it should be only applicable for government servants..

Assume ASNB announce new Fixed price fund for non-bumi, do u think response is gud?
*
The response is guaranteed to be good.. I am sure..

Even i myself would fork up most of my cash into that fund..

But disappointment is there is no more opportunity for new fund to be available for investment.
