All same size lah.... even Critter Trail also same size... just go for plastic tanks. Rm44 can get you 2ft plastic tank. So much more practical and easier to clean. Also, you can freely decorate it mah. If you get those cages, RM80 wor.... smaller than 2ft also.... basically you are only paying for the brand and unnecessary things inside.

Yups, they chew.... but after a while they stop. I have 1 in a glass tank but most of my hamsters are in storage boxes or plastic tanks.

Today I notice another hamster turning winter coat... hahaha... kept in a warm place that is bright but got a solid hide house to sleep in.... cute.

Mochi, if you add more hamsters, very high chance they kill each other ah. Hamsters prefer to be solitary, we humans like to see them in groups... which is not natural in nature. Placing them in a pair is enough. Now yours older, if you put new ones in, sure your older ones bully the new one till die.

Added on February 13, 2007, 9:28 pmMine is a plastic soild house... another hamster use wood house. As long solid and it can sleep dark dark in small corner in the house then can already.

Ampang petshop less see the hamster suff (house and etc)

Yups, you can find loads of hamster stuff similar to all the Pets Wonderland stores... but do remember this, everything there is expensive.

Go to Pet Safari at Ikano better... more choices.... as for housing, still recommend plastic tank instead of those Habitrail or Critter Trail cages....

Crazy u say get wood 1 stinks......... but i'll be going midvalley 1 de wor.. got hide houses ? is it a lot of varities there? and i think i get 1.5ft tank can liao. joonalooidog 1 is 2ft or 1.5ft arh?

Ikano is near 1Utama.... well, there is a free feeder bus from Kelana Jaya LRT station.

Hahaha.... wood can stink but if you get one with no wood floor then won't lah... Normally when got a floor in the hide house then the hamster may pee on it.

1.5ft is like the same size as Safari, Playground, Space station.... yah, same size as joonalooidog... that is 1.5ft... well, not really 1.5 lah... if measure, the base is only 1.2 or 1.3ft only.

Most likely they have. I saw sluis brand calcium block at pet family RM12 like that for 1 block. Quite big though.

Personally I've never actually tried it yet. So I don't know about the diff quality based on the diff brands. Yeah, it's purpose is just for them to bite bite so that they don't go destroying other things and providing calcium at the same time. Hamsters have to to continue filing their teeth as it'll just keep growing non stop till they die.

@mochi: Erm.. I don't see how low battery power will affect the quality of the picture. It doesn't work that way. Unless ur saying you only had 3-5 secs of power left and you just snapped them in a hurry without focusing.

sifoo sifoo... my housemate has jz swapped the cages of his hamsters.... ever since they are in their new respective cages, i noticed 2 of them the hair is alwiz wet... i'm suspecting wet tail disease.... because i've read before somewhere saying that one of the cause of wet tail disease is they couldnt adapt to the new surrounding... is this true??... its been 2 days and his hamsters are getting thin... but they are still active as usual....
