Well I have only 1 hamster, so I'm using habitrail mini. Here's what I have. The wheel, water bottle, food bowl, 2 toilet rolls, 1 house for it to climb in, another empty microwave plastic container (sometimes I put bath sand for it, sometimes I use it for mealies) |

Ohhh... I wish I could have a large aquarium for a planted tank... but then no space hahahah....Wow, lucky you. Maybe you should go and measure the diameter of tubes and pipings you can find.... then connect it. I saw one pic before where this person put 1 cage in the living room, then she connect with those tubes up to the kitchen. Again, gonna be a lot of work when dismantling it to wash but it looked amazing. |

QUOTE(Only_Human @ Feb 12 2007, 12:03 AM) No! Never give baths to hamsters. If it is dirty, just use a damp cloth to wipe the hamster clean and if want, apply some baby powder to smell nice.Place a shallow wide bowl with some sand bath for them to roll in and clean the fur in. Get Sand bath, not dust bath. You can find those made for hamsters or chincillas but get only SAND BATH. |

Haha.. bathing eh? last time I bath my hamster quite often. Like once every 4 months. It lived almost 3 years. Healthy always. But then again, not worth the risk. So I don't do it anymore. Anyway, bathing is the last thing you should do. Like say if there's something really sticky on it and you have no choice at all. If not, don't bother. Sand bath works well. My WW loves it!

the two cages also habitrail.. and i take into consideration of crazy mentioning earlier that there are two different tube diameter for habitrail and i found out sometHing cool..
for connectors.. use the new habitrail connector.. it can connect the two different size of habitrail diameter piping.. plus it can also connect to other brand piping as well.. while cleaning the cage that my fren gave me.. and assembling the two cage together.. i have a lot of cuts and scratches on my hand.. how i understand why everyone in this thread complaining bout cleaning all the hamsters cage & piping.. haha.. here is some pics to enjoy Attached thumbnail(s) |

That small green transparent box there connected to the cage. It looks like a good place to put some sand bath in for your hamster.

QUOTE(Only_Human @ Feb 12 2007, 01:45 PM) I always see that u all taking about sand bath ~ Can go find those Chincilla sand. One packet, forget how much liao. Make sure its sand, not dust oh. May i know wat is kind of sand use for sand bath ? Got screendhot kah Then use a container, fill it with the sand, dump the hamster in it. U will see the hamster dig dig, then roll their back on it. That is called 'sand bath' After finish the bath (around 15 minutes), u may find poo inside. Pick it up, then go sun your sand, can reuse again.....
