at last bought two spot hammy......
Btw, how much does a robovski and a spot cost? Just wanna know whether i bought it cheap o not.
And which shop sells hamster accessories cheap and nice?? (Kl area lah)

its something like the above, it moves slow, can easily catched.... I bought 2 spot hamster, i din buy robo as they r more expensive, haha.....
The lady told me that both robos and spot seldom bite compare with dwarf. For ur info, i bought them in a psr mlm, along with the food, wood shavings, a wire cage, and 2 hamsters(male)..... at first i would like to buy 1 male and 1 female, but i scared they mate and pop out babies alot, then i jialat loh......can hamster be spayed or neutered?? how much???
Maybe later i can adopt some more from LYN members......

BTW, how often should i feed them?put refill every time the bowl is empty??or like dpgs and cats, twice a day....how much do they eaT???

oh, mine one the tail is short.....the lady told me is spot hamster, since i dun familiar wif it, i just " ohya.....oh ya...."
Gona go home and check on their condition after work.......
i refilled the food bowl wif hamster mix and some gardenia oat bread this morning b4 i go to work. I discover that they love kuaci a lot, but i din give them too much, since i know its salty, not good......
later will give them some vege and fruits.

The seller told me that they r only around 2 months old. Whenever i put my finger in the cage, they do nibble, but mayb they're still small, it does'nt hurt. When i put them on my palm, they seldom nibs, but once a while they will. What they always do is they poo on my hand.....

I'll try to post some pics later, so that the pros can identify my hammies......

oh......i notice that everytime i take them out, they for sure will poo, and they poo quite a lot. DOes this means they r afraid or wat....
When i take them out and hand feed them, they do not eat, when i put them back in the cage, and hand feed them again, they will rush to the food and tend to bite it off from my hand, some times even try to ite my finger......hai...
THink need to spend more time with them though.

the two hamster of mine looks exactly like this

got one black stripe behind their back, got short tail.
So wat kind of hamster is that??
They do bite leh, last nite i got bitten, 2 holes on my finger, a little blood
Normally when i put my finger near them, they'll nib.
When i hold them in my hands, they'll tend to crawl away and nib my hand, and poo.....
Everytime when they hear sound ppl go near them, they'll start acting like crazy, biting cage, like wanna come out.
By the way, wats the correct way of picking them up,coz i kind of scared as they do bite me leh.....

i think depend on size gua.....for mine, size is small, so 1 bottle can last one week also....
By the way, can anyone tells me wat kind of hamster is that on the Pic i'd posted 5 threads ago.....

Btw, I just bought another 2 winters. Previosly i hv to males, now to females, but separated cage.....
HOw to clean them, got smell lah........
I notice that male tends to be more active, more fierce, bite more, as the female is tamer.....normal ?
Later try to put them together, 1male 1 female in one cage, and get baby hammies!!!
How long should the babies been separated with their mum? 7weeks?

i read thru this thread, saying that syrians are territorial hams, but when i go the pet shops. all the syrians are cage together, mayb 10 of them. I ask the SA whether can cage them together, they say can, will not fight, bla bla bla.........

yeah yeah, mine too. They like to keep one leg out of the cage also, really cute.

I got 2 male and 2 female WW, last nite i tried to introduce the female to the male WW, both the male like scared of the females, dunno y.
I dunno whether the female is biting them, the male squeeks, and try to climb out of the box.

My male hamster has big butts, but my female dun have.......Btw, I'm not sure whether the males are WW or not......The lady who sell me that says they r spot hamsters....R spot hamster a kind of WW, or is actually a Chinese Hamster?

oh ya, i intend to breed. Just wanna get ONE litter of babies for my fren.
Mayb later I'll attach photoes of my "SPOTTED" hams for the experts to identify them.
I dun think i can mix them with my female WW. The female like trying to attack thm. I monitored them closely twice, they fight and i immediately break them up.....Left them in a box for 10 minutes, they din group, and the male tend to climb out the box, and he poo and pee in the box (is it bcoz he is scared?).

depends wat kind loh....at my home town, a dunno wat breed dwarf hamster is RM6 each!! haha.........
WW normally is RM10 - 20 i guess.
ROBOs RM20 - 30 gua...........

can provide some guide to intro a new female to a male??will they fight? how they react?

just my opinion. Better to keep the hamster in a plastic container (toyogo or plastic aquarium) rather then keeping them in a cage with iron bars. I think they'll have the habit biting the cage.
They(my 2 female WW) live in a glass aquarium before i bought them. WHen i handle them, they wont bite.
After been kept in a cage for 2 to 3 weeks, they start chewing the cage. When i handle them later, they do bite my hand leh.....
