QUOTE(RegentCid @ Mar 13 2015, 04:09 PM)
For those Transit in Japan:
Japan does not use or accept the ICAO tamper-evident duty-free bag, so travelers changing planes in Japan for other international destinations should wait to purchase any liquid, aerosol or gel duty-free items in excess of 3.4 ounces (100ml) after arriving in Japan. Passengers who have liquid duty-free items in containers larger than 3.4 ounces will not be allowed to take them through the checkpoint during the security re-check process in Japan.

Summary:
Please don't buy any duty free alcohol or Perfume from your country if you need to do transit in Japan.

For those have Alcohol outside from Airport Duty Free. Such as from Factory Distiller.
No liquid more than 100ml can pass Japan Custom under hand Carried luggage. You have to drink it on spot or throw it away.
Check in Luggage can up to 5 Liters alcohol.  But once u reach Malaysia. Malaysia Custom only allow 1 liters.....ur 4 Liters of Alcohol will be tax Kaw kaw kaw kaw kaw.

For those Buy at Japan Airport Duty Free after Security Check
Less than 24% - No limitation
More than 24% to 70% - Maximum 5 Liters

But Malaysia Custom only allow you 1 Liters.  brows.gif  Pandai pandai la...Even Yamazaki in Japan Airport Duty Free shop is cheap but also cannot buy more than 1 Bottle......

Fantastic info boss notworthy.gif. Will use my gf's quota then icon_idea.gif.
Maybe just 2x Yama 12 year or 1x 12 yr 1x 18 yr.

But that means outbound wise if I checked my bags in I can't buy the Yamazaki before I board the plane sad.gif. This sucks. Anywhere I can buy duty free BEFORE i check my bags? I don't want to be buying after I land and haul all 2 liters of liquor throughout my 10 days stay >.<

But I need to check them in right? When returning to Malaysia, I can only access the duty free area AFTER checking in my bags right?

Ah I think that clears it up for me. Thanks sifus.
This time round in Tokyo it'll just be a food trip as I've been to most of Tokyo's attractions. New experiences mainly in Kyoto. Can't wait, been dieting to prepare my stomach for this 10 days =p

If going Japan then forget about halal. If you really follow halal rulez so much then you can't even taste any sushi also. One thing you cna do was make sure your food no this word "豚"
Great Tour.  1 Hour duration
Free 1 glass of 12 Years Yamazaki & 25 years Hakushu & one small packed of peanuts.

How long does 1 need to spend in Fuji Q to enjoy all the attractions there?
And do they have a facility to keep bags? I plan to go to Fuji Q from Shinjuku with all my bags, park the bags somewhere, and after done with Fuji Q, go to Hakone and stay a night there

Yup managed to find out that Kawaguchiko stations should have large lockers. Since I'm going on a Thursday it shouldn't be too packed, hopefully there will be empty lockers left.

Ugh a little difficult juggling between nikko, fuji and Kamakura. Kamakura I'd like it to be a one day trip but now trying to decide whether to stay overnight at fuji/hakone area or nikko area. From my checking seems both place's hotels with private onsen are really expensive.. Might need to settle for a short private onsen without staying overnight

You can enjoy those hotel luxury onsen facility without overnight. But you must know the opening Hour. Mostly open at noon only.
Morning and night are exclusive for hotel guest only.

I'm actually looking for private onsens. At first considering those luxury hotels cause most rooms come with own onsen bath but then they are way too expensive. Trying to find now those that open to non guests, but can only find Yurari that has private onsen facilities and even they require you to be a staying guest (I think).

So far I can only find Hakone Yuryo and Nikko Lakeside Hotel has private onsens rental to non guests =(.

Just want to ask that im planning to go to Japan for my honeymoon. (Preferably Tokyo,Hokkaido,Osaka,Kyoto.)
8 days, at most u can do Kansai + Tokyo only. And even then it will be a bit rush and touch n go. IMO honeymoon trip go slower a bit and relax and enjoy u and your wife piak piak and romance, stick to Kansai can liao.

i personally found hakone is not worth visiting, except owakudani
the pirate cruising ship... the view so so oni, the front deck is open oni for first class
motohakone... nothing interesting
gora... waste of time

and it required huge traveling time...
oni go there if u fond of onsen and sulfur egg

last time i stay at Resorpia Hakone, price is okay... got public onsen with barricade outdoor view
the big problem is...
there is NO RESTAURANT NEARBY... and VERY LIMITED + EXPENSIVE RESTAURANT at Gora
u r recommended to take hotel dinner and breakfast packages
fyi... i oni took breakfast whistling.gif
the breakfast is 4star buffet... got western + japanese style... highly recommended
