I also wanted to quit when I played 3 months into the game, but then I join a clan and train with them, now a days most of the match can either earn or semi carry, the thing I hate in their MM is they mix loud mouth and pros, sometimes you are not lucky your side is full of loud mouths who die in the first 30 sec.
But the recent season for tier 10 only rank base on skill, I heard a lot enjoy that mode because the rank will place you with ppl around your skill level instead of random.
yea same.
All XVM does is just giving you rough info about each individual in your team, many don't know how to use them and see base sololy on statistic, and when they see the predicted win rate they are already discourage to do their best even before the game starts. I went on a match where half of the team died early and a few guys kept saying base on xvm you guys suck. In the end me and 2 other guy take on 7 others that is supposingly "best" in xvm rating and won the game.
So conclusion you can look at xvm to make predictions, you can't rely on xvm to tell you the game outcome. Quickybaby, a WoT youtuber made this clear in his past and current video a pro player who constantly carry his team in random battles.
Haha I don even bother to look at/install XVM to know my opponent capability, for most multiplayer games, I read & predict opponents' next move by observing their behavior patterns "real time", thats the most exciting part.
But I pretty loathe at those ppl who abuse the XVM to focus kill the best player in opposite team, while being caught unguarded & unable to react by those "red/bad players" actions & lose the game. It happens a lot in T6-T8 games...
Its our own effort to take note good players ID & be wary about them in battles;
BUT what XVM did is display their status indiscriminately to anyone, & effectively bring down good player's capabilityby a chunk by spoonfeeding to those who do not even to put in the effort to be a decent tank player. This tools directly discourage most players trying to be a better tanker, since it attracts enemy focus fire if you are doing better. In longer term, this tools generating more & more bad players who is relying on this & get a good chunk from good players without putting much efforts.
Example: 3 SPGs in a platoon VS 1 good player
1. With 3 decent players who are aware of this player's performance by own effort, they decided to put their bombardment priority on this player once the good player is spotted. This agreement involves communication, consensus & rewards of platooning with teamwork.
2. With 3 bad players who is not even in a platoon, XVM is telling them: "this player is very good, please get united and kill him first so yall can get a good chunk of XP while eliminating 1 of the high-risk-factor", without much communication & consensus, but reaping the rewards & ruining a good player's day.
Anyway, tonight gonna get my KV-2 Elited & finish my BIA crews faster before transferring them to S-51~
