Took out my magnifier last night and spotted the etching on the glass. I thought it was pretty cool

Quite hard to see with the naked eye. Almost impossible for me.

Hey all sifus! I have a London trip coming up next year and have my eyes on the Tudor BB36. Was wondering if it is much better to buy there as we can claim VAT? Does it make a big difference?

iirc, prices in Malaysia are usually more favourable compared to UK, even with the VAT factored in.

But the weakening of pound and the rumoured adjustment in price again might make thing different.

I've look around AD in SG. They quoted me Sub LV (13500 sgd) and GMT Master II Batman (13500).
Both the same price. Any pro can enlighten whether its overpriced? Above price is before tax refund.  icon_question.gif

Went to an AD today to have a closer look at the Sub & batman but however all of them are not in stock except for the LN GMT Master2. Took that on the wrist for a quick size test and wow did it fit me perfectly.

I have trouble wearing watches as of my tiny wrist but Rolex's sport model's case size and its proportion is just amazing.

I guess I know what to aim for now.

The Submariner is also the same size as the GMT at 40mm. But the Sub C's bezel is cleaner and less cluttered than GMT's.

I have the Sub C and bought it because it looks less cluttered than the GMT.

can't see your image though

Eying on the ND sub & hulk. 3 favs at the moment including the GMT BLNR.

Am actually surprised at how small it looked on the wrist as compared to pictures

Didn't even get to move the bezel on the GMT as they wrapped it like a subway sandwhich

I am a huge fan of Rolex watches. Their quality control is second to none. They may not be the most expensive watch brand but they sure are one of the best in terms of robustness, ease of serviceability and evergreen designs.

I own a Datejust, Submariner and Daytona.

Am planning to add a Day-Date 40 in the future once the issues with the new movements have been ironed out.

Do u feel bothered to purchase that daydate urgently now that our currency have dropped significantly yet they are still selling at 'old' price in malaysia? Hehe

I just checked with one of the AD in Penang pargon mall. They are giving out 8% discounts. Is it the same with all the rolex ad out there? Or can we bargain for abit more?

Got mine last Sat after aiming for about 2-3 years. Paying a premium but at least from Swiss Watch Gallery.

Try Woo Hing, they can be cheaper when SWG not doing promotion, what model you are looking? 8% is good deal, used to be 5% even before GST.
