QUOTE(ck77 @ Dec 15 2015, 02:17 PM) Found the following useful tips (I edited some) from another fora, That will lead him into the YM 2 1. Think for yoruself and decide 2. Any 2 tones or gold Rolex is ridiculous if you are below 50 yo 3. Don't buy a Rolex just because it is a Rolex 4. Buy what you like 5. Just buy a pre-owned 16600 Sea Dweller and live happily ever after 6. Disregard 2-6 and refer back to 1 |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Mar 17 2016, 09:54 AM) ya well 39mm is still ok, even tho it was trying to play catch-up. Well, I'm looking for a birth year piece, and lolex is probably the one choice I have but air king at 40mm? thats just messing with history. and its completely diluting the line at that size, with explorer, oyster and now this. anyway, good thing im not a lolex fanboy |

QUOTE(lowyatkopitiam @ May 17 2016, 04:12 PM) i am a first time watch buyer. i found a few submariner selling in mudah for 10 to 12k. the problem is the sellers are usually located in far off places like Northern n southern states. if i were to travel to meet the seller, what should i ask to see? What questions should i ask? is there such thing as certificate of authenticity? yes, if they don't have it then don't get it. Also look at the service history as well. |

QUOTE(vwca @ Jul 19 2016, 01:41 PM) Another first timer here – even if the watch checks out fine at RSC, how important are boxes/manuals/certs for non-vintage pieces (say a 1980s or 90s)? Is the sale really dubious? Not much dubious, but you have to be clear that those periperal items are a big part of that piece's worth and value, without those, the price should not be the same a another piece with the complete set.So, if you plan to buy n sell, this is a risk to take. If it's for self use, nego the price down hard and wear it in joy with the mind that the next time when you do want to sell, you might have to take a loss on it. |

iirc, prices in Malaysia are usually more favourable compared to UK, even with the VAT factored in.
But the weakening of pound and the rumoured adjustment in price again might make thing different. |

QUOTE(jaan76 @ Jun 30 2017, 02:38 PM) Any NATO strap will fit as long as you get the correct size ones (in your case it will be 22mm).You have cheapo ones from China that cost under one ringgit per piece all the way to branded ones from Omega that cost couple hundred. In general, BluShark, Toxic, Haveston and DaLuca are highly regarded and are usually on the higher ends for NATOs. I'm also a big fan of the Marine Nationale but never have the chance to try one yet. If you are looking for something to start with but just above the cheap China ones, I think in Malaysia bro AppleDarren is selling them and you can also try cheapestnato or natostrapco. |
