Why angry at someone who spend money to have a cat? A Caine Moon for example, it's not available everywhere.. so there's that..
*
Well I can understand if anyone angry though. This is after all cat lovers thread. Even if you go to any cat or dog lovers forum & post this, you will get negative response from cat lovers. Why? Because there's so many stray cats that needed home & they should be priority to anyone want to adopt cats.

What I worried about people buying cats is that these people may not yet grasp the responsibility to take care a cat. Don't get me wrong though. I'm not saying anyone buying cats is bad people or not cat lover. I'm saying this because I have seen this over & over again, when the cats start to burden them, they'll abandon their cats.

Exactly.. Someone doesn't adopt stray cat means they are cruel? What about those hates them? Think twice before make a voice really.. Obviously stray cats not all having good life out there.. Oh and not only cat got ambushed or poisoned but even dogs.. Hater gonna hates.. If this threat is so aggresive about "u get ur cat by money or by adopt".. I would simply say stop being a cyber warrior.. Talk it simply way too cheap..

Why feels offended? You blamed other people for easily offended. Why do you easily get offended? I merely voiced my opinion. I definitely never said who doesn't adopt is cruel. Definitely not. Please learn to read carefully, not with emotion.

I also did not accused you or that guy of anything. What I said is based on the experience. You should take it as a reminder. Only time will tell right?

"Oh and not only cat got ambushed or poisoned but even dogs."
I don't know what kind of logic is this. Do you mean just because dog get poisoned, so it's ok for cat to get poisoned too? What kind of logic is that. Haha. I'm against any cruelty to any kind of animal including cats & dogs. As a Muslim, we are teached to show kindness to animals. There is a hadith which tell a story of a prostitute from Bani Israel who feels sympathized to a thirsty dog. She climb down in the well & drew some water with her shoe for the dog. Because of this God forgave her for all of her sin.

Just simply point out don't have to be being rude when putting in comment.. Not you obviously.. Am a general animal lover let's just put a full stop with that whatsoever topic we are talking about back to cat threat

Well. Even I did not support buying cats because I think there's a lot of stray cats that needed home and love currently. All 3 of my cats are stray cats from a restaurant.
But for kitten sake, this is a cat lover thread. Not adopted cat lover or bought cat lover.

The fella is just sharing his excitement over getting a new cat but suddenly got bombed because he doesn't follow your definition of getting a cat.

A lot of hate from a thread that discussed about such a lovable creature. sweat.gif

No need to drag this anymore. The fire already put out by me & popper in our last reply.

To put this thing to rest, I just want to recap that no one bombing that guy after he posted that he paid deposit for a kitten. No one. The reply after that just an innocent comment why he did not just adopt stray cats especially from shelter home that already overflow with too many stray cats. If you posted this in any animal lover forum, even international ones, you will get the same response. So it's basically normal response. I don't see any "bomb" in it. Also to be fair no one know what kind of cat he is getting at that time. The comments afterwards that leads to the bombing. I already decided not to involve with the discussion but responding anyway when I saw a comment on stray cats.

Anyway, like I said, no need to drag this anymore.

I got a kitten almost 5 months old, and yesterday i bring back a new buddy for her , Smokie which is just 2 and half months old..we tried to hold them closer.. The female start making that pissed off noise.. Than after awhile we put them closer only enough to touch hands..Ashie and Smokie stare for awhile eye contact a bit and Ashie start touching his hand with her nail softly like trying to grab things.. But smokie staring something else and Ashie pissed off again haha.. Is that sort of good sign that my kitten actually ready for new buddy? Just take a bit more time?

It'll take time for them to get along well & they will. Kitten this young easier & quickly to get along than older ones.

Havent try yet but looking to the price, same price given by my current petshop.

I need to get at least 90 tins per months for my cats equal 2 tins per day.
9KG for kibbles for adult ( original flavor)
8KG for kibbles for kitten

Had try give my furkids with Brit Care, then my problem started till i have to change back to Wellness Core.

That's normal & it only have been four days. Did the young kitten eat regularly? Milk (for cat of course)? I think it's too soon to separate the young kitten from the mother. IMO, no less than 3 months old, if you want to separate the kitten from the mother. At 2 months old, the mother cat still looking for her kitten to breastfeed them. Is it possible to return the kitten to the mother for now?

reminds me of the time i got a 2nd kitten for my 1st kitten. 5mths and 2mths respectedly as well.
there are alot of online tips how to introduce a new cat to the current household or to the resident cat.

i went abit far by actually buying another 3 storey cage for the kitten and put their cages side by side. let him glare and hiss at each other until after a week before they got tired of hissing and glaring at each other.
had to let the 1st kitten out and kept the kitten caged just to show the 1st kitten that her position is not in jeopardy.... LOL
sounds silly i know..
2nd kitten made alot of noise of course but i kept her locked anyway. kesian juga but only temporarily until they both got along.
now they both get along and my 2nd cage is redundant, so i gave it to a pet adoption shelter.

p/s before anyone get the wrong idea, i dont cage my cats all the time. as long as i am home, they are out causing mischief

No need to feed him milk anymore in that case. Yeah, some mother cats will refuse to breastfeeding once the kitten grow their teeth. Quite normal.

It'll take time though. It may take one or two or more weeks before they can get along nicely. Don't worry about it.

Pretty much how I introduced new kittens to existing kittens. But I only caged the new kittens though & only lasted for a couple of weeks. So far 100% success. I also successfully getting an older & younger cats get along without involving cage.
